- So I’m super behind on editing videos. This was taken about two weeks ago, so I do have an update on my friend Rich. They did a tracheotomy a couple of weeks ago to help with his breathing so that he could be taken off the ventilator. That’s been working well for him. The most recent update is that after 5 weeks he has finally been moved out of ICU, so that is awesome news. Again, thank you to everyone who has kept him and his family in your prayers. I really appreciate all the love and support you guys have been pouring out!

The aircraft was a Lockheed L-1049 Constellation. TWA used them through the 1950s on cross country routes. The military version was the C-121. President Eisenhower used on for his transport aircraft.
Nice to see a 319 that still has IFE screens.

I remember when the TWA hotel was a terminal and used it to connect from San Francisco to Amsterdam and Frankfurt.

Great video, Hannah. I hope Rich gets better soon. I will continue to pray for him and his family. Please, keep us updated on this. They say the power of prayer is strong, so hopefully this will be done and over with soon

Been getting daily updates from Rich's wife after doing the go fund me so if people want regular updates...contribute on go fund me. Interesting about phone calls over wifi. I thought they were prohibited due to conflict with cellular radio frequency used with airplanes nav systems, but I guess FAA is slow on the pickup for new (not really very new anymore) technologies like wifi? Always like to hear your updates about travel and life in general. Was recently visiting the TWA hotel on recent flight out of JFK to SFO on your airline, what a great hotel. I was born and raised nearby and remember when Aunt and Uncle flew TWA, my parents took me along when we picked them up and I got to see the then brand new terminal. It was memorable. Still is. Thanks for the visit.

Yes that is why it’s still prohibited bc it could disrupt signals and communication to the cockpit. Idk if eventually they will figure out a way for that not to be a potential issue since technology is becoming so advanced. 🤷🏼♀️

Love twa hotel! Very expensive- almost 500 a night for a room with a view of the runway.

As a person who has a varied schedule and changes time zones frequently. Do you have any tips on getting proper rest day to day? Thank you for your time
So for me, I know when I’m on trips I most likely won’t get good sleep. So I really just try to have a sleep schedule I stick to at home, so that I’m well rested at home and before each trip. And then if that schedule works out for whatever trip I’m on then my body will already be adjusted. But I’ve pretty much just accepted I’ll be tired on trips and to just catch up once I’m home haha.
I've never imaginei that JFK had a hotel so close and expensive . You did good bringing your own Ford Hannah ! Paying a little bit more tham 200 dolar it's not easy .

Why weren't you prepared
I was prepared as far as having bags packed and all that stuff. Just didn’t think I had to be ready to leave at that time since there were still people in front of me to be called and no trips were open when I had checked a few minutes before.
