Its 4:30 in the morning at my place and I too just got back after chauffeuring my dad from the hospital he work. I'm his temp driver at odd hours these days as his driver is unable to report to work, its still a lockdown goingon in our place. As I was watching the video, I was about to ask what is legal and illegal hours, then you cleared it, thanks. Why were you concerned about jump seats? The normal seats were relatively free in that flight right? Or do you get charged if you need to sit in the regular seat? Glad you got a blanket from your friend and that gave you some comfort at the airport. Tc and stay safe.
Hi! So anytime I am trying to fly home or somewhere on my own time, I have to fly as a non-revenue standby. So I don’t have a confirmed seat. Since I’m a flight attendant, if there are no seats available I can sit on the jumpseat if i’m flying on the airline I work for. So if a flight is full I can still get on, I just won’t have a passenger seat. So that’s what happened on my first flight I took to get home. The second flight was a regional aircraft and it doesn’t have an extra jumpseat, so I had to get an actual seat number to be able to get on that flight home. I hope that makes sense.
Hannah, when you sleep in the airport, do they have those big overstuffed firefighter recliners? You, at times work very long days. I don't know if you heard about the Southwest flight attendant who told a woman to keep her seatbelt on during flight. She stood up and punched the f a in the mouth, and knocked out 2 teeth. People are super stressed and don't care about rules. Just stay safe. You're really sweet. 🛫🤗
Our sleep rooms mostly have just basic recliners. I’ll try to get a video to show you guys what the Philly ones look like the next time I sleep there. I heard about that. Luckily all my passengers have been compliant and I haven’t had any issues. But I know that there have been lots of flights where that’s not the case.
Yes I commute. It would definitely be easier to live in base, but I don’t want to leave South Carolina right now. Maybe in the future I’ll transfer to CLT and that would be a drive commute instead of a plane.

Thank you Sean! I usually pack a couple extra pairs of tights just in case, but so far I’ve been really good about not ripping them.
