    Great video here from Victoria - I remember the first time I actually knew I was in head voice was when my vocal coach simply said 'okay, make like your an owl' Wooo, wooo. Easy.!

      I noticed that the right amount of embouchure tension is also a key element.

      I know what you mean, but I prefer to call it "energy in the mouth" or "slightly protruded lips" rather than tension.

    Hi, i am a soprano leggero here in Brasil. I struggle with silent reflux, just recently i iniciated a treatment, but my voice is a lot weaker as if it lost it's strength. Now i'm watching your videos to regain the voice i used to have. Since my vocal chords are fine, i will try the exercises now. Any tips for me? My head voice is Very affected. Do you have videos about reflux on singers or recommend a specific video? By the way, you are great :)

    Thank you for this really valuable guiding, presented in this video and the others.... If would you please make a video about how to sustain high notes while suspending the tension of breath support from accidentally tightening the throat. Cuz its very frequently happening to me... I'm a baritone and can reach g4 flat while supporting properly... But cant reach g and keep it good and listenable.... I'm sorry for the long comment.... Hope you always the best... Thank you ❤

    Something curious happens to me. I can only sing for like 3-5 minutes straight before my voice starts to feel weird/tired. Is that a sign that I'm doing something wrong?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад +1

      Yes. Without seeing and hearing you, I am assuming that you are singing with a lot of tension (the bad kind). See my PLAYLIST on Throat Tension. If your speaking voice is also having problems, I would see an ENT doctor.

    Question: Im chronic asthmatic with nasal polyps and vocal chord disfunction.
    My voice is low and husky.
    Yet i love to sing.
    My voice will suddenly give up on me and nothing comes out. Feels like my throat has collapsed.
    Is there hope for me ?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад

      I would check with your ENT doctor, preferably a laryngologist. I cannot tell without seeing and hearing you, plus this is really a medical question.

    What if when I get halfway through the siren and my throat s screeches E. It’s like I lose the placement. I feel squeezing in my chest too. Where do I start then?
    History, I have struggled with MTD after being on a ventilator and having a tracheostomy.
    Good news is my vocal chords are miraculously healed and im left with no more scar tissues.
    Mechanically nothing is against me.
    But the trauma I endured created a many of bad habits overcompensating for lack of voice for such a long time.

    Hi, love your Channel and Tips! Was wondering if you had any advice on how to have a flexible torso and hips to help support the breath and voice. My performances require me to dance as well as sing and ii have taken notice from performers such as Beyoncé and how they tend to have flexibility to move around with a stable voice, any thoughts ?

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад

    I am from India. All your videos are very useful. Please let me know how to overcome from spasmodic dysphonia. My both vocal cords are mobile and voice box also fine. My neck muscles are tight feeling. I can talk with whispering voice since 1 year. Whenever I am practicing exercises I am getting my voice. But not constantly. I am good singer also. Music is my hobby. ENT doctors told me take Speech Therapy. Please suggest any voice exercises to get back my voice normally. Please help me madam. I saw your videos one week back. Immediately I subscribed your RUclips channel.

      This is more of a medical issue which is outside of my area of expertise. You could try some of the easy and gentle exercises in this video, which is also useful for returning to singing after being sick. Singing While Sick? YES, NO, OR WHAT TO DO? ruclips.net/video/avvz2v6sO1w/видео.html

    So i kinda have a problem. I‘ve been singing in mixed voice for a long time, to make more volume on high notes. I‘ve been doing this since i was like 9. i‘m now 21 years old, and i‘ve lost my head voice (it sounds weird). It starts at a very high note, and stops shortly after. If i go further, they become whistle notes. How do i fix this😭😂

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  Год назад

      I cannot tell without seeing and hearing you, but it sounds like your vocal folds are not thinning out due to your habit of singing with more vocal weight and thickness. I would start in your middle voice and work up slowly from there with humming or on an OO vowel, keeping it nice and light and floaty. See my full playlist on Better High Notes.
