I have a soft spot for 'when we gettin paid' characters and Charlotte has an advantage over other characters like, say, Farina and Volke because she doesn't actually take anything from my funds.
This video effectively encapsulates my love for Charlotte. I couldn't have described her character and unit feel better myself. If I may though, she resonated with me when I played the game back in high school. I was in a shell, and I wasn't comfortable being myself fully because I felt like I'd be rejected. I also rejected myself. Now, I'm like Charlotte post A supports. I've found people and experienced things that brought me out of that shell, and I couldn't be happier. I'm happy and enjoy being myself as much as Charlotte enjoys fighting. In my personal Canon, she marries Laslow, and she leaves behind all their combined wealth to her family, and she goes back with him to Ylisse. Neither of them ever stop flirting with others.
I can tell you put a lot of love into this video considering how good the editing gets at points- Also I can personally say if Beruka didn't exist for me, Charlotte probably would've been my favorite female in Conquest, she's so fun to go ham with. All hail the killer axe maiden 😎
YES! As a Charlotte fan, I agree 100% with everything you said in the video! She's amazing; her supports are honestly a lot of fun, especially when she reveals her real self; and as a unit, well, let's just say that when she makes "that face", someone's about to get absolute torn to shreds. I always give her Certain Blow, so she never misses - a tip I learned from the capturable boss Gazak.

Really fun video! Admittedly I never really used Charlotte as a combat unit until a low tier run I'm doing right now. She's honestly really fun and surprisingly a lot easier to train then I initially thought. You briefly mentioned chapter 13, but she can actually orko cavs pretty easily in that map and a bronze axe forge does a lot to help with her hit issues in that chapter. Chapter 14 I had her dual club the 3 samurai and just axe the pegs. Keaton pair up lets her double the oni's at base and she has enough atk after said pair up, strength tonic and an iron axe +1 forge to orko the oni's. From this and chapter 13, she usually gets a good amount of exp and then can benefit from the really nice promo bonuses she gets as a berserker. After that, she's just really fun to ohko stuff with. I had her ohko master ninjas in chapter 17 with a steel axe forge and she snowballs so hard. Next run I'm definitely going to try out maid charlotte shenanigans, I see why you like her so much as a combat unit. She's just really easy to snowball and her combat is just fun to use. I really enjoy your scripted content so I hope you're able to keep up whenever you wanna do it. I'm no stranger to just making videos and not doing stuff whenever I feel like it lol
Honestly, I was already starting to question Charlotte when I saw she had a Beruka support. Her speed is so apreciated but she is still much worse than Selena because of slower support, joining later, lower defense and a much worse secondary but her Axe Rank is really appreciated and she is definetly better than the Kids, Nyx and Arthur. If It was for me I would dump her in B+ (the tier with good long-turn and not marriage reliant units but with some Big drawback go) instead of B- (mediocre kids, not great long turn and Izama go) or C (niche, filler and backpacks). She suffers from the same as Shura, terrible first impresion but when you look further she is pretty good (although she obviusly is much worse than Shura).

Random but I'm surprised you didn't bring up her supports when talking about her character. Some of them are really funny like her one with Niles. Yeah berserkers in the GBA games were shirtless during combat, and I think that Lalo guy from path of radiance was shirtless too. Charlotte just seems like the natural extension of that but it seems more people lean towards just calling it pure fanservice.
@@5Points I never liked fates and known of a lot of the bad characters/ writing desitions. But Charlotte was one of the design I thought was perfect for what she is. I've come to like other characters more though like oboro, scarlet, and kagero (who also has a sexualised design that actually fits for what she is)
Really happy I stumbled across this; Charlotte is easily my favorite unit and character in Fates and I feel like she went pretty under the radar. I decided to make her the main carry of my Conquest Lunatic playthrough and it was an absolute blast
As someone that has Charlotte as my all time favorite FE character, i loved this video! I think she is just neat. At first i loved her because i though she was pretty, but as i used her more i was just thinking she is more and more amazing and has a ton of interesting characterization! She is great!

The negative things from other people I'd see were always about her design, but I never knew people thought of her as 'just a backpack' too. But at the same time, crit stack for Charlotte with Death Blow anyone?) Marry her to Xander, not for his sake, but hers. Outdoor fighter for her offense, Shelter for utility if needed, Aegis to give her some insurance against tomes, and Defender for some additional stats. Friendship Berkua for Malig skills and you’ve got a Berserker with great damage output (Outdoor Fighter, Strength +2, Trample, etc); Sol and Aegis for defense; and utility in Shelter and Rally Strength. She is so fun. A silly aside, I love and hate her design. I love it because she’s a hot blonde wielding axe girl, but she’s in horrifically impractical armour.
She was the reason i choose to play conquest as my first Fates game! I love her a bunch and you don't understand how happy i am that you made a video about her. Also,fun fact: when i bought conquest (i didn't even know it was the hardest of the three) i was still a very unskilled player so,since i wanted to use Charlotte,i kept using her with low accuracy without removing gamble

It brings me an immeasurable amount of joy to hear someone else praise both Peri and Charlotte so much in one video. I love those characters so so much. What I especially like about Charlotte is that warrior and Berserker were male locked classes in Awakening, and I think in a lot of other games basically too, so to see her breaking the mold and being a female berserker and showing off her stuff like all the other big muscle heads made me very happy. I also loved how crazy strong she is lore. Just, mwah, all of it's wonderful.

She can function as a Rallybot due to Rally Str Def and Res without marriage which is quite handy when planning out runs, especially since I find that she can earlypromote reasonably comfortably due to her extreme growths. In CQ I struggle to get her into Wyvern since Beruka is busy giving both Selena and Camilla friendship options, but Ive been meaning to try Dark Knight from Nyx friendship for Heartseeker and the extra bulk ,

This is an incredibly funny character in terms of gameplay, if you up her, she will crit almost always, heal from attacks and be a fierce beast on the battlefield. The design is beautiful, and the dialogues make me smile, what else do you need from a great character)
Real talk, the Royals are so absurdly busted that I only allow myself to use Elise anymore. It's just not fun using Xander, Camilla and Leo to invalidate maps by themselves

As much as I despised Fates narrative after playing it recently I have to say Charlie was one of the few bright moments of it. I love the integration of her character into the gameplay. While I don't like her fighter outfit, her berserker one is the best in the game. She's a player phase nuke, but unlike Hana she won't die if someone sneezes at her, which makes her so much more fun. I just wish Revelations didn't made every unpromoted unit joining after chapter 11 (except Silas for some reason) almost unusable. You basically have to dedicate each chapter to make everyone catch up and it sours the fond memories of them from C/B.
Charlotte is basically a lesser version of Vaike from Awakening. A character who also starts out with terrible unit feel and starts out with similar growths. A major difference is Vaike in Awakening is one of two units who have the highest possible strength in the game.
What I've always enjoyed about Charlotte personally is that she's a great example of not judging a book by it's cover. Sure, she may look cute, pretty and attractive, and she knows this, which is why she makes an effort to play it up (which this video covered quite well, gotta give credit there), there's a lot more to her than what you see at first glance if you take the time to read her supports and find out why she acts this way. It's really interesting how complex she can be once you start looking past her design and just criticizing it for being too sexualized
I just wish she, like every other female frontline fighter besides literally Rinkah (which I bet ten bucks it took a lot of arguing before the cowards caved and gave at LEAST Rinkah muscles), wasn't so conventionally thin and pretty. Then again, Charlotte's specific case may require less muscle and only being toned at most considering her gimmick? But even still.

Most of the time the only reason i don't use her is by the time you get her i'm done building my team and just have no room for her, if you got her earlier in either conquest of revelation i would have used her a lot more.
I typically don't like skimpy designs, but her voice acting and unit feel are too enjoyable for me to not like her. She's like a female Gonzalez, and Gonzalez is my favorite FE6 characyer.

All you really need to say is that she's voiced in Japanese by the Arson Maid from Grisaia, and it's still a solid argument.
Charlotte made me play Conquest several times over. There's nothing more empowering than her ability to just Crit everything in existence.

As much as I despised Fates narrative after playing it recently I have to say Charlie was one of the few bright moments of it. I love the integration of her character into the gameplay. While I don't like her fighter outfit, her berserker one is the best in the game. She's a player phase nuke, but unlike Hana she won't die if someone sneezes at her, which makes her so much more fun.
I just wish Revelations didn't made every unpromoted unit joining after chapter 11 (except Silas for some reason) almost unusable. You basically have to dedicate each chapter to make everyone catch up and it sours the fond memories of them from C/B.

Charlotte is basically a lesser version of Vaike from Awakening. A character who also starts out with terrible unit feel and starts out with similar growths. A major difference is Vaike in Awakening is one of two units who have the highest possible strength in the game.

What I've always enjoyed about Charlotte personally is that she's a great example of not judging a book by it's cover. Sure, she may look cute, pretty and attractive, and she knows this, which is why she makes an effort to play it up (which this video covered quite well, gotta give credit there), there's a lot more to her than what you see at first glance if you take the time to read her supports and find out why she acts this way. It's really interesting how complex she can be once you start looking past her design and just criticizing it for being too sexualized
I just wish she, like every other female frontline fighter besides literally Rinkah (which I bet ten bucks it took a lot of arguing before the cowards caved and gave at LEAST Rinkah muscles), wasn't so conventionally thin and pretty. Then again, Charlotte's specific case may require less muscle and only being toned at most considering her gimmick? But even still.
