It is because Mazda is not Ferrari to build cars that don't last you more than 20 000 km w/o a 50 000 dollars bill. The Mazda cars are premium enough for the market as they are. If they build something similar, they will not attract more people. Mazda 3, 6, CX-3 and CX-5 are selling like crazy here in Romania. They do a great job selling their cars and it's no point into building a car similar to this one for the public to buy. It just reflects the vision they have and a direction in terms of design.

Fast, precise, not jolting through gears and extremely long lasting, it also helps the car to acclerate faster and helps with low fuel consumption.

The RX-Vision Concept isn't shown in this video, but it's the concept car that they want to have with the rotary engine (Hence the RX part of the name). The car shown in the video was made after the RX-Vision Concept and has their new Mazda SKYACTIV-X engine inside it, which explains why it's able to actually drive in the video. (I meant to call it the Concept, not Coupe)
I don't think I'll ever understand the reasoning for them not making this car a reality or automakers bringing their concepts to life as a whole. I mean, I completely understand certain legal aspects such as the side mirrors, but seriously why is this not in production yet?! It's the very definition of beauty! I wish automakers would stop holding conference calls together and agreeing on how far they should stretch the boundaries of modernism just to barely refresh their cars each year and see how much money they can get out of each model before sales slow down and then deciding to update 3 little items on their cars and throw them at us. If automakers would switch from penny-pinching each model-year to pushing boundaries and bringing vehicles like this to the market, it'd be so refreshing and truly make them stand out from one another instead of them all blending together and copying from each other. I've just always found it odd that an automaker could design something like this, causing a MASSIVE disruption in other automakers' sales and bringing that profit towards themselves.. but instead designing conservative, boring vehicles with no thought or passion behind them keeping sales (somewhat) balanced/shared between one another. If these companies are purely focused on profit, which they are, it just makes you wonder what's keeping them from designing beauties like this and taking the profit for themselves...

You can't really design any good looking car that does not remind a bit at least one Alfa prototype/product. If You visit the Alfa museum you will see that clearly... Unfortunately, the most beautiful designs never went into production, because of marketing denials...

With the first of the RWD Mazdas being revealed (the CX-60), it only makes me more psyched for the new I6 powered RWD Mazda 6 possibly coming next year.
I asked the product manager of Mazda in Croatia and he said that Mazda really wants to bring this to the market, but who would buy sutch a large car. It would also be very expensive. I also asked him is it gonna have a Wankel rotary engine, and he said that an engine like that would produce a lot of Co2, but if they manage to solve that problem this car would have anywhere between 350hp and 400hp. YAY!!! And I agree the codo design language is amazing

the rx vision was in villa d'Este two years ago or so, but it didn't move. It is most likely that it doesn't even really have an engine in it ...

I asked the product manager of Mazda in Croatia and he said that Mazda really wants to bring this to the market, but who would buy sutch a large car. It would also be very expensive. I also asked him is it gonna have a Wankel rotary engine, and he said that an engine like that would produce a lot of Co2, but if they manage to solve that problem this car would have anywhere between 350hp and 400hp. YAY!!! And I agree the codo design language is amazing
