Cool device. But it’s basically just an hdmi capture card $20 with good software. Now that Apple has introduced UVC since iOS17. The ability to use these devices as monitors are extremely easy as buying a $20 cable and plugging it in. The software is where it shines and adds the features really. This device should be a lot cheaper than $400
As Just a monitor sure, but there isn’t a unit that can internally record hdr 10-bit and have live stream connection at that price to be fair, let alone camera to cloud (coming to frame io)
@ absolutely. As I said, at this point it’s just software that makes this a useful buy unlike their actual monitors. The device itself doesn’t really provide extra and many may be thinking it’s the device itself that gives the capability when it’s the software and phone OS. Now, is that software worth $400? 😬 $100-$150 ok. $200 maaaaybe. But $399? I wonder how they came up with that figure given their pricing on their other monitors.
@ also, question. Is there any way to plug in an external somehow? Or you can only record to internal phone? Maybe an otg cable with external ssd to record to? That’ll add a little value. Otherwise we’re in trouble needing to use our phones storage.
Kofis making sure we eat good. 🤧
How do you stay so productive and constantly creating good work?
Plan ahead ! Ironically I’m on set now, I just make sure videos are done in advanced !
Sooo cool, if there was a USB’s pass through that allowed you to record to a ssd that would be craaazzzy
That would be cool !!!
There IS another port on the other side of it, maybe 👀
I been holding out on upgrading my iphone 13pro. But I do want to get the USBC port to do this.
I upgraded 60% to get this lol
Nice toy!
I know, right? 😂 helps after my monitor got jacked
@@KofiYeboah I am interested to test the Accsoon solutions, the idea of using an iPad as camera monitor is Teeeeeeeeeeeeeempting
Sooo this is one way to get audio on the fx 6 without the damn stupid handle

What’s the point ? Cost as much as atomos monitor itself!
Your monitor can internally record, live stream or camera to cloud
