I found your Channel trough RUclips recommendation on the Homepage and i normally dont write comments but i felt like i needed to now Your doing such a great Job at this even though, as you said, you are new to this which is impressive and you can be proud of yourself ! I also didn't really see much of those negative comments but you shouldnt really pay attention to these because your doing great. I also love your choices on games your first video i saw was final fantasy 15, which was funny because i wanted to play this game again. I also loved dragon quest, this series deserves so much more love outside of japan !!! On the topic of deserving more love, i would really love some videos on a few games, hidden gems i would say, one is the Drakengard series, the Others are Baten Kaitos series and Resonance of Fate which is especially interesting because it has a fun twist to the old RPG mechanics !?!

What about Mario and Luigi Partners in Time with only Mario? (Not even the babies except when is mandatory). Also you wouldn't be able to use skills because that requieres the two brothers.
You could try some of the lesser known RPG's and see if there's any funny challenges to try; Earthlock, Shadows Over Loathing, Citizens of Earth/Space, Crystal project, Monster Sanctuary, Steamworld Heist, TemTem Just to name a few from my own Library!
Really interesting challenge run! You really gotta pray to the RNG gods. I bet by the end you basically had EVERY move memorized 😂 defeating the elite 4 with your last PP was beautiful
Yeah the entire run was just LUCK + GRINDING = WIN. Genuinely no skill required on my part. 😂 And yeah that Bite was super clutch against the Dragonite!!

Great run all around. I did the same run last year on stream with Red version using only a Clefairy that we hacked into the starting PokéBall choice. Similar issues happened, but I had over two dozen Self-Destructs and Explosions done to myself from Metrenome. Overall it was a fun run in the end. I am looking forward to your next challenge run.

Fun run! Status moves aren’t entirely useless since they badge boost you but they’re definitely frustrating when you have only so many attacks per battle
Regarding your question about koga u can fight him third after Brock and Misty. Need misty for cut but once you have cut u can get to Koga that's the path you go when doing the Prof Oak challenge.
You could have fixed the struggle thing by setting the PP for all moves other than slot 1 to 0. It's because it still thinks there's pp for those moves even though they can't be selected. Can also happen in some situations with ditto, if you transform and then mirror move
Seismic Toss hitting ghosts isn't because Fighting type moves can hit them- they are immune to all the other Fighting type moves (so like, two? lol). It hits because it does Set Damage- Seismic Toss, Night Shade, and Bide all do Set Damage, and this bypasses all Type interactions. These moves can never be Super Effective or Not Very Effective, can never get a Critical Hit, and hit types that are normally immune to them. Just another way in which Gen 1 is a buggy mess! 😂

I think the Machop guy in vermillion is laundering money. The house never gets finished and he just keeps funneling money through supplies and such. Also the 2nd Giovanni fight has to be the only time Razor Wind has been useful
I googled to double check, and set mode is in the game, honestly surprised he never turned it on to get rid of the constant annoyance of asking if you want to swap Pokemon which is banned.
Ah of course yeah, Metronome does have the same sort of odds as getting any sort of good ability as Slot does. Unfortunately there’s no Fixed Dice to make this run a doddle it appears….
This is why I fill all 4 slots with metronome. Or bump it's pp up to 40. Edit: also if you use a save editor you can change Pikachu's moveset and I believe still have struggle available.

Yeah, it'd be pretty quick and easy to use a Gameshark code to give Ditto any skill in the entire game! Want to see a Ditto with Thunder, Explosion, Tail Whip and Poison Sting? It can be done in seconds! 😀
I’ve got another short-ish run idea. This time it’s the old Super Famicom anime tie-in, Sailor Moon: Another Story. Basically, it’s a diet in-between of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. The challenge is no Link Tech/Triple Techs (the game doesn’t explain this but you can press Select anytime on the overworld and match up Senshi in duos and trios to unlock team attacks), no level grinding, and you need to use your Super form first turn every battle (Sailors Moon and Chibi Moon have a Super form via their respective chalice item; it gives a negligible stat boost and takes away all of your base form attacks to give you a wasteful AoE nuke that’s not worth the effort). Also, no cheese strats; the main ones being Sailor Mercury’s Shabon Spray (a super weak single target attack… that comically nerfs the damage output of whoever it hits) and Sailor Pluto’s Time Stop (an AoE that, as the name suggests, stops all enemies from getting to act for three full turns). I’d also throw in a ‘No Items’ condition but Chapter 2 of the game makes you do four mini-chapters as a single Senshi, and the bosses there (mainly the Nabu fights for Mercury and the minibosses for Mars) are rough enough as is. There’s also some potential for bonus challenges. In late Chapter 4, you have an optional opportunity to battle the closest thing the game has to a Superboss, Esmeraude. Just beat her up as soon as you’re able. Next is to complete the puzzle. The game also doesn’t explain this but you can collect pieces of jigsaw puzzle that depicts the full Sailor Senshi team; you get most of the pieces as random drops from any enemy encounter but a small handful is hidden in the overworlds by interacting with objects that don’t usually get interactions, which you’ll need because enemies on their own don’t drop enough pieces for the full image. It’ll be important come the end of the game. The last bonus challenge is no ‘bad ending’ finish. All this entails is that you beat the final boss the first time around, as losing forces you to fight a dramatically weaker final boss with a party of the characters you didn’t bring into the first fight. I can give a protip on grinding the puzzle pieces without getting levels if you’d like.
I thought a bit about when you mentioned saffron was the last on the list. Is it possible its actually the first? Itd make sense, being the big city where youd buy a lot of items would make it the most common destination
My theory on the housebuilding man, is that there is no house building going on. What we witness is an old retired man, just wanting to watch a young, ripped, boyish pokemon move his body. Hence why there is never an progress and he isnt doing anything. The machop is just being asked to stomp on the ground around him, it doesnt even know the old man is lying about the house building.
About the seismic toss killing gengar It's not that fighting moves deal damage to ghosts They don't Seismic toss is the exception, because it deals set damage (your level)
Why not do a Dragon's Dogma challenge run before the sequel drops? Obviously it's a back burner idea for at least a year or so till it's trending, but still.
I absolutely forgot that struggle was added after Gen 1. I imagine PP ups would be worth their weight in gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond, pearl, and platinum for this run. Xp
Why would it be impossible to Struggle? Did you just make it so that was impossible or is it just some strange thing with the GameShark codes where you technically have other moves available but they aren't selectable?
I'm guessing it's caused by the use of Gameshark, since the game expects Pikachu to have a second move. I'm not an expert though, so someone else will have to chime in. (FYI if Struggle had been available, I would've reset anyway).

Yeah we encountered those a LOT, I just cut out most of those losses because it would make for a repetitive video. :)

My theory on the housebuilding man, is that there is no house building going on. What we witness is an old retired man, just wanting to watch a young, ripped, boyish pokemon move his body. Hence why there is never an progress and he isnt doing anything. The machop is just being asked to stomp on the ground around him, it doesnt even know the old man is lying about the house building.
Man I'm torn on whether to beat DQ11 and Scarlett Nexus or just watch your videos on them.

I absolutely forgot that struggle was added after Gen 1. I imagine PP ups would be worth their weight in gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire, emerald, diamond, pearl, and platinum for this run. Xp
I think Gen 1 still had Struggle, but the use of Gameshark codes made it unusable here.
And yep, PP Ups were total game-changers!! 😀

Why would it be impossible to Struggle? Did you just make it so that was impossible or is it just some strange thing with the GameShark codes where you technically have other moves available but they aren't selectable?
I'm guessing it's caused by the use of Gameshark, since the game expects Pikachu to have a second move.
I'm not an expert though, so someone else will have to chime in.
(FYI if Struggle had been available, I would've reset anyway).
@@RPGchallengeruns Yeah, I figured you would've reset regardless, because Struggle clearly isn't Metronome. It would also be kind of a cheap way out of many situations.
