Question, please help if you can! Does yours have an anti theft locking mechanism? My mom just got one and thanks it’s locked but no one can find the “reset button”
I've never owned a scooter, but this one interests me the most. My only hangup is fit...I'm 6' tall, 245 pounds. Having ridden the scooter, do you think it is this too small for me?
That’s on you to decide. I’m 5’11 about 225. I think at 245 you’ll still be fine speed wise. Being 6’ just know your knees will hang out a little. I didn’t find it uncomfortable though.
Hi there, first of all great video, I really enjoyed it. My question to you is if you know anything about NEW Caroma D2 electric bike. I really like that one. Please help with any suggestions
I’m looking for one of these for commuting around the area around my school, because I really, REALLY don’t want a car. Do you think the 350w motor version of the P1 is worth it?
I don't have any experience with the 350w motor, however, if you are in the 150lb range it may be ok for you. Also, if you don't have that many hills it'll help.
Kinda feel cheated that my Ebike didn't have rear suspension something I didn't know it needed..my Ebike also messed up my ankle and plantar fascia so I ordered this to get out when I'm anxious 😊
@Wildman-zh8lg I have this scooter as well and really enjoy using it as it has good range, is easy to drive and when compared to my razor ecosmart metro scooter it's lightweight as well. The only drawback I've observed is that the holes in the basket are a little bit wide causing smaller items to almost fall out but other than that and the display screen it's a solid choice for those who want a powerful scooter at an affordable price.
That lack of height adjustment for the seat really sounds like a drawback. Im 5'11. So chances are its the perfect height, or they may have made it for someone whos 5'7", whom it fits right, and they would think a seat height for a 5'11" person would be too tall. Could be somewhere in the middle, where it kinda sucks for everyone, i dont know. But on my bicycle the height of that fucking seat is so crucial and mine is just right. So is the seat track in my car, the lumbar adjustment, the steering wheel tilt, etc........ But then if you get a scooter that HAS an adjustable seat, it will NOT have shock absorbers. Or the motor will be too wimpy. Very difficult to find the right combinations of the features you need.
Thanks for the review! Just ordered mine and can’t wait🥳
It’s fun. You’ll love it.
Hi i have a question should i get the Caroma P1 or Caroma P7?
Thank you Reid, super appreciate the in-depth review here. I’m considering a future purchase myself. 👏
Thanks for the kind words.

I have no experience with them.
I have this exact scooter.I love it
It's fun, that's for sure.
@@DIYReid I take It too and from work
That is what I’d do if I didn’t WFH and lived close enough to work.

I'm glad in small because the low handle bars would bother me but I assume that's for better handling
Eh. They aren’t too bad. I’m 5’11 and I can either put my knees outside my arms or inside and both are comfortable
@@DIYReid oh it's going to perfect fit for myself then 😁
How long does it take to charge
About 5 hours if I recall.
I can't get the handle bars to fold. How do I do this ?
Fold down?
Seat looks awfully low, does it adjust?
It doesn’t.
How many speeds or is it just one speed?
Just one speed gear.
Great review
Great scooter
Where can i buy mine ?
I checked Amazon
Not there !
Look in the description.
How do I lock it if I'm going to the grocery store so no one steals it?
Bike lock
Is this something 10 yr old kids could probably ride? It looks quite small. My son is 4ft 5in
Yes. I’m 6’ for reference.

When does an electric bike become a scooter! 🤔
You mean when does a scooter become a bike? When it has pedals.
You must be a troll
@DIYReid I have mine for 4 months I go 2 and from work everyday. Four and a half mile around trip

I suppose can't go through a puddle if needed due to battery being under it? Does the key hang there lol. Mine is on its way
The controller and battery are enclosed but behind the front wheel is where the cables go through and there is a small hole wheee water could get in.
@@DIYReid ok good to know sometimes here water settles in places because it's Colorado Lol
I fucked up the ignition switch on it where the key goes in and they ended up sending me a brand new scooter for free
Nice!
Bought one. It FAILED right out of the box. Not Recommended.
They boxed it right back up and sent it to me. Shitty
