    A carnival without a Zipper ride can never be a true carnival.

    I love this Canobie, I love this a lot. There are many great circuits across America, and I am very partial to Wade Rides. This could be a great series, in fact, I know it will be. I'm still waiting on the food countdown for each park though. You are a wise man of innovation for these videos.

      Wade Shows has an even better midway. They also travel further so that makes sense.

    I remember when Fiesta Shows had a very cool & detailed Sea Dragon Viking ship from Chance. The Pharaohs Fury is decent but it’s like a bare bones / no frills version of the Sea Dragon they once had.

    The world needs more Zippers. If you get a worker to flip your cage before cycle it is a top 3 flat ride for me. I've even tipped one of the operators at the South Florida Fair to do this. Best Zipper ride ever.

      @@CanobieCoaster It changes everything you knew about a zipper. As a kid we knew one of the workers at our county fair who would do this for anyone who asked, no tip involved. it took 12+ years to finally relive that moment at the South Florid Fair after a $20 tip.

    What you refer to as "Scat", I refer to as "Tempest". "Scat", I believe, is a roundup-within-a-roundup ride with incredibly intense centrifugal forces.

    I’ve ridden the Demon Loop at Steel Pier, which is a a single gondola version of Top Gun. Very freaky hangtime, especially since they deliberately stalled you at the top! Disappointed by the low positive Gs though.
    Does Top Gun offer any positive Gs?

  • @MrMywildside
    @MrMywildside 5 месяцев назад

    I know this ride wasn’t mentioned on here, but one that potentially could have made your list that occasionally shows up at other carnivals is the Enterprise. It is the one where a large disc starts spinning at high speeds, and the gondolas the riders ride in swing out sideways and then the disc tilts to near vertical sending riders almost upside down a few times. I’ve heard the carnival ones though usually have a no single riders rule, where all the park models of this ride I have been on at Lagoon in Utah, Cedar Point, Dorney Park and Six Flags Great America don’t/didn’t seem to have this rule. That makes this rule seem almost stupid or even ridiculous.

    • @CanobieCoaster

      Enterprises are fun, but Fiesta has not had one over the past 3 decades.

    • @CanobieCoaster

      Trimpers is the only park I know that has/had one. I wish more had them.

    • @MrMywildside
      @MrMywildside 5 месяцев назад

      I think the reasons why parks don’t have them are capacity and throughput issues, and they may be too violent for actual parks. I don’t get to ride Zippers as often as I like seeing as how I’m often at carnivals by myself, and they always have the stupid no single riders rule. I mean, I sort of get why the rule is there, but it seems like they could be more accommodating of people who are by themselves or odd numbered groups.

    Anybody remember the ferris wheel that had cars with wheels in them and you could swing around and go upsidedown as the ferriswheel went? They used to have them at the fairs and carnivals in Mass and NH back in the 90s and 2000s haven't seen them in 20+ years unfortunately 😔

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  6 месяцев назад +1

      Are you referring to Rock-O-Planes? I never saw one in Fiesta's midway as a kid (started going to their fairs in the mid-1990s). Sylvan Beach and Knoebels still have them.

    • @Coyotek4
      @Coyotek4 6 месяцев назад

      To say Knoebels "still" has a Rock-O-Plane is a bit of a misnomer, as they only got their late in the 2023 season.

    • @jeffbizie
      @jeffbizie 6 месяцев назад

      @@CanobieCoaster no its not the rock o plane..I know what that is..its something else. I wish I could post a pic lol. It had cars and you were caged in. Then there was a wheel where a steering wheel would go and you could spin as you pleased as the ferris wheel went around

    Do they only have the one coaster, or are the others just not worthy of the top 20?
    The coaster of that model I've been on was equally dull, but the fair company I've seen a lot, Talley Amusements, has a decent spinning wild mouse they bring around thats decent.

    • @CanobieCoaster

      Super Cyclone is the only large one. Their others are a SBF Visa spinner, an Orient Express, and a Go Gator.

    Flying Bobs seems a bit low on the list. Are you not a fan of the concept in general, or do you feel these are poor executions?

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  6 месяцев назад

      I am generally not a fan of the flying bobs style himalayas. They don't have the laterals I'm used to from the standard version. The ones I love are the ones that nearly invert you. Canobie's former Matterhorn and one on the German fair circuit have done that for me.

  • @maverickheartlineroll
