    Thanks for saying this. A lot of times black culture does not like to hold parents accountable for not preparing their daughters for the world. Then when things go bad everybody act surprised. At least three women a day are dying from domestic violence in America. So at least 1,000 per year. If women were being taught, I’m sure most would want to save their lives and move around. Also, black women idolizing black men are a reason that some end up unalived. The point is do not idolize ANYbody.

    What people have to understand is that, we are FALLEN creatures. Until the Lord comes into our lives, we are UNDONE. I don’t care
    what color you are, you have to LEARN how to get along with a mate. When you try to get with a person that is NOT your race, ethnicity, color, WHATEVER, that takes things to ANOTHER level. We can’t even get past the male and female relationship situation. Life is HARD. You’re not going to be in ANY relationship without WORK, WORK AND MORE WORK. It is NOT EASY. You can be nice and sweet and the Best “person” in the world. That does not matter. You are going to go through, before you get through, to your BREAKTHROUGH. GOD BLESS YOU………..Be safe out there.

    Indeed. EVERY RELATIONSHIP has problems.
    As a Black woman that has dated almost every race of man--it's all the same.
    The first love of my life was my high school sweetheart. He was a Black man. Ups and downs--but the love never died--we just grew into a deep friendship until his death 2 years ago.
    Most of the men that ask me out since then have been white--I've had several white boyfriends from Americans to Russians (during my LA clubbing days). My last boyfriend was Hispanic. Most men that I attract are not Black---they are all professional men that have their careers and finances together--but they are most often white. I'm not sure what's up with that--but I am open to date all men. (Could be my location--6% Black)🤷🏽‍♀️

Vet EVERYONE and stop being afraid of being ALONE!! I disagree with what that one white friend said about white men who date black women, it’s one opinion, not gospel for all white men. I am very glad that you discussed this topic. I actually went with a black guy who was the lightest out of all of his siblings. Even more he use to date white women and he had saved their photos in his album. And, right before I cut him off and the dating ended, he had compared me with his longest relationship with a white women. He told me that she left him and married a white businessman who owns a wine company. The mother of his child is also fair-skinned Portuguese, but he has black friends who are professional but who seem to be for the streets. The black friends who he had exposed me to were without mannerisms and had a passive love for drama. Although he likes to gravitate and socialize around another fair-skinned ethnicity or white individuals when possible apart from these kinds of folks. His mother is a brown-skinned Portuguese woman, however his father is a light-skinned black American mixed with Irish. It may be that self-hate or the same character happens to attract the same kind of people. There is certainly a handful of insecure black men who reveal themselves at the right time.

      I forgot to mention that all of the brothers with a woman are widowed and immediately married again to a white woman too. This particular brother just retired as a fireman, so I know based on the social media photos, that she must've married him for the money right before. There is little to no intimacy in there based on the photos-including multiple ones where they are taken separated by other family members. Except for his dark-skinned brother who doesn't look like he has any mixture in him at all and seems to remain single and distant.

    Love isn't logical. You fall in love with who you fall in love with due to circumstance, location, timing etc. I believe the best & most lasting bonds are built on a foundation of great friendship & a degree of attraction. Whether that attraction comes in physical or spiritual/personality wise. You can't really make sense of love, but love will make sense outta the two of you. I'm sorry Mr. Gaskins, but I'm a hopeless romantic that believes if we only had the capability to see the world in black & white.. We'd fall in love with who God deemed for us. We don't get to choose where we're born, how much money we're born into, what race, color, shape etc. but we're all born with an innate sense to find love & be loved & I believe that's what makes love so everlasting. It discriminates no one, yet affects everyone. It's an intermingling of faith, love & hope & that makes it just as simple as it is complicated.

    We have similar and / or worse crimes against women in SOuth Africa. Literally being butchered by men, mostly men they are in romantic relationships with. And our criminal system is not fair. Perpetrators walking free, outta jail on parole in no time.

    I agree 💯. A man is a man, no matter the race. My aunt (Black African) married a WM. He was the most disrespectful man i have heard speak to a partner. I am not an aggressive person but this man used to make me mad. But she thought she had a prize. And I worked with WM, all married to WM. Let’s just say that some of the things heard from these women opened my eyes. I felt so bad for them. But they would rather stay married than be totally independent.

    Ladies make sure that you date a man that treats you right. This video alone could make you miss out on your blessing! Have discernment and seek God with who you date. Don’t listen to what everyone tells you because their advice alone could make you miss out on someone special. Saying that all white men would treat you wrong or that you’re not valuable to them is like saying you dated one black man and he treated you wrong so you’re not going to date another black man again. Black and white thinking isn’t helpful. Also as much as the world tries to push on to us that we’re not valued remember that our worth comes from Christ and don’t even entertain anything else!

    • @nataliet.3023
      @nataliet.3023 7 месяцев назад +1

      You missed the point of the video. That's not what he was saying at all. He's not implying that all white men will do you wrong, just like all black men won't do you right. He's saying that don't go to white men thinking that you'll be treated better because of some delusional grandeur you have made up in your head. The title of the video speaks for itself. A poor man of character is a poor man of character regardless of race, ethnicity, or nationality. Having a man just treat you right is not enough, either. You're right on the discernment part though.

    • @TheKaty8765
      @TheKaty8765 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@nataliet.3023The way he spoke in this video was not mainly stating that point. In my opinion this video was still distasteful and ignorant and that’s how I view it. Yes any man could treat you wrong. Still that’s not how he was saying it. Still an ignorant video and disheartening to watch. Saying that white men don’t view BW as feminine and how they don’t have a true interest in BW is ignorant. That’s how I view it and colorist as well… he said and I quote from speaking to one white male, “No real white man wants a black woman.” You don’t see anything wrong with that statement and putting that out there like that? People need to have discernment and logic on what they’re feeding and listening to.

      Unfortunately a lot of parents in "our" community harbor resentment or jealousy of their own children, because of self-hate in my opinion. This is also why generational wealth is so rare for us. I've heard parents say they're not giving a dime to help their kids, and the kids will have to "struggle" like they did. And wonder why they get abandoned in nursing homes later on...
