Bad Apple!!, but it's actually playable

Imagine Bad Apple!! animation was playable. Guess it is now. Don't ask me why. But it exists, so that counts lol
Let's see how much can one die to it!
This script is part of the bigger fangame made in LuaSTG. Named purely "LuaSTG Boss Rush" (or multi-boss rush, actually?), is a huge project made by a lone scripter from Bilibili. It consists of Boss Rush-like stages, varying from EoSD up to DDC (as for today i.e. version 3.20).
It is just amazing how many of the content is there, and how great some of the "rushes" are made. The most notable ones are IN, SA and DDC. Definitely worth checking out!

I think there is one thing needing explanation:
You cannot savespot in this mode. Bullets are square-shaped, making attempts to safespot between bullets or in the middle futile.
With that, it is impossible to no-hit it - and I guess it was never meant to be. Let it stay like this - why would you ruin this masterpiece? :V

Should have a mode that when turned on, will display transparent bullets before they appear, similar to how Remilia Scarlet's spell card [Curse "Curse of Vlad Tepes"] (shows an enlarged bullet sprite transperent fading into view) and how instantly-traveling lasers show a line before they become harmful. There is a lot of bullets that suddenly appear without indication.
Also when the safe area and unsafe area inverts, that is an unavoidable death, like at 0:17, both spots that you are moving from and to both have to be safe at the same time. Does anyone have a leaderboard?

Might still be possible. It looks like there us enough room to make a viable safe zone at the corners of each "pixel". Don't know enough about touhou to say for sure, though.

@@minepose98 Maybe if some of those colored tiles were actually safe to touch. Especially in parts like 1:56 onward. You could keep the look by keeping the colored orbs there, but you take out the white center of the orbs to signal that the player can safely touch it.
You could also use colors to warn of danger zones or indicate safe zones. At 3:08, there is going to be a horizontal "attack" to the left at roughly the center of the screen, so you could have warm colors in the center so the player knows not to be near the screen center.
Or maybe put cold colors in spots that are going to become safe zones within the next few seconds. Use colors to create sort of heat map to signal the player where to go.
