I'm glad this worked out, as it was probably very stressful time for everyone involved! They both look great, but Yulia has been described as "competitive", and her dedication to dance found a perfect partner in Riccardo.
Riccardo & Yulia are in a league of their own. There's a reason why when Yulia danced with Max they only won one competition but as soon as she partnered with Riccardo they started winning titles straight away & the Latin World Championship a year later & now they're the current 10 time Latin world champions.
also she married Riccardo, and in interviews you can see how much they love each other. There is a great movie in the whole story of being engaged to Max and then, Max finding his to be wife Anastasia and Riccardo and Yulia... love stories galore!
also, what is Max doing with his arms and hands? Watch it without the music and just look at him? Also he's gaping at his mouth like he's trying to catch flies. Then you see Riccardo, he looks in control, nothing is just flapping around, every movement is with Yulia and they dance as a couple!
Max is a good choreographer but doesn't have a body to bring out his moves so he doesn't call attention to his dancing. Ricardo & Yulia are both attractive so they bring attention to the self but the skil is there plus they practice a lot. I think they both bring out the best in each other.
yes! It is not a matter of one is better than the other, but... Yulia is very competitive, and Max has no ego that demands he always come off the best, he know it's teamwork and both have to shine to win. Also he knows hard work as his parents made him attend dance classes! (he wanted to play football!). Sometimes it's the ones that get there by hard work, that need each other to dance together! Max has choreographed some of the best dances ever, but Yulia and Max are just the partners each needed. work work work!
when I read his biography which it appears he wrote, he seemed very self involved... as in "I could have DONE THIS... and I was torn between this and this and I am good at both, and I broke up with Yulia as I had reached my limit or creativity... (um, right). Riccardo truly appreciates Yulia, and in recent interviews where they both have retired now, you can see their shared passion for WORK, and DANCING, and also, their love. It's such a soap opera of unhappiness to both I hope finding happiness now, though it seems Max and Anastasia also divorced later. Both good couples and Max is a great choreographer. But, I think Riccardo and Yulia were more of a couple, you can't say one or the other is better... they are the best couple as it should be with dancing.
Watching a judge watch Yulia and Riccardo is priceless. We're impressed too mister judge.
