I love the fact they keep saying Pauls grandfather (Wilfrid Brambell) is very clean as opposed to his roll in Steptoe and Son where hes constantly referred to as a dirty old man by his son Harold
I love when Ringo goes " Whoa! " The scene with the older gentleman was a satirical poke at the class system in England. The Beatles were at the vanguard of changing attitudes in Britain.
Not true. Big Jim Sullivan played that, not Jimmy Page. It's rumored that he played guitar for Ringo's theme in the movie, as he was only a session guitarist trying to make some money.
Great to see a favourite film of mine a different way. Needs just a little better colouring process to get it just right. Then it will be great to watch both versions as the mood takes you.
It was a year ago when I did that using photoshop and it took ages, but I have better ways to do it now which keeps the colours more stable, I may have another go at it and maybe do the whole film.
The Man complaining of the Radio.... He was the Gold and Jewelry Expert who's drinking the "Rather Disappointing "30 year old, indifferently Blended Brandy with Sean C. and Bernard Lee in "Goldfinger."
I actually watched this movie back on March 4th of this year, and if I’m being completely honest, it would’ve been way different if it was shot in color instead of black and white. The reason I say that is because every other Beatles film after this was done in color, and I’m kind of curious on why this one wasn’t. On that note, how exactly did you even colorize the scene anyway?
Apparently it was the directors decision to film in black & white, I can`t really understand why. I used photoshop to colorize those scenes, and I did a video a long time ago on how you do it, but it takes a long time to do it this way. I`m still colorizing clips but normally use Hitpaw video enhancer now. I did colorize the whole of A hard days night but couldn`t put it here so it`s on Rumble rumble.com/v523fa9-the-beatles-a-hard-days-night-1964-in-colour.html
They did such a good job on this. No acting chops whatsoever and they still killed it.
They did, I love it

At 4:24 mark where Ringo plays a song on his radio is a very young Jimmy Page on guitar!
How cool is that!
I really didn`t know that, thanks for the info.
What song is that? Sounds great
how did you find that out

-Actual people: We did invent the random humor.
-The Beatles in 1964:
John really let the intrusive thoughts win

Oh man , when I first saw this movie back in 72 , I thought Paul's grandfather looked old .Today , at my age the old man , doesn't look that old .
I love this scene ❤️
even if you don't love the Beatles (such as myself) this still is a cute and funny movie, a quintessential 1960s movie
That's actually pretty damn impressive
Thank you
John: give us a kiss George: thats not ur grandfather Pual: thats my grandfather
The best band ever.

@@MishaAutos I will
What did you use to colorize the footage?
It's all done one frame at a time using photoshop Andrew, there is a couple of videos on my channel showing 2 different ways to do it.
@@imswitchedon interesting
Jhon parece que en ese tiempo era el bully del grupo, carismatico y comediante, tan diferente al Jhon de los 70s con su pacifismo jeajsa
The suits are changing colors

Can ya send me the whole movie in color on dvdr?
I would love to do the whole film but it would take a month of Sundays!
This is not color it fades in and out.
John doesn't have blue eyes 🤔
Funny it ain't

But at least they tried.
It's not bad - not perfect but far from bad.
