I don't worry about the cars that can beat my police interceptors off the line/0-60/quarter mile. Most of them won't last the hundreds of thousands of miles I expect my Vics to last
I've definitely went through the 'Bullit' phase. My 03' Grand Marquis now has 22" red hots exhaust with back cats deleted. Sounds like cars did back in the good old days. WhenI fire it up and drive away people stand by and watch/listen. :-)

After doing some research I found out that it’s much more common on the 3v motors (especially the 5.4L) but it is also known to happen to the 2v motors. It’s common enough that Cal-Van makes an excellent kit specifically for the 2v spark plug repairs that I used to fix mine.
Crown vic effect is still valid lol. My moms got a black and white vic with truck tires on the rear, thing sits like a drag car and she hasnt gotten a single ticket it in it either.
The intake issue is so not anxiety inducing it's way easier than an old Chevy vortec the hardest thing is removing the fuel line and unplugging plugs and injectors after that it's a cakewalk don't even need a torque wrench I would rather fix that than a leaking heater core
take those same principles and go start your own channel. After years of doing this ive learned not EVERYONE will like you. thats one thing you'll realize too. best of luck man.🙏🤘

That's funny you mentioned the sound of a Crown Victoria Ford owns that category first the rumbling flat head, iconic engine sound then the incomparable 351 C then the mighty 429 the ground shakes when that engine is running not a fanboy I've had Chevys for years but I own Crown Vics now I'm very happy they sound good through stock exhausts

I think your c V came with 15 in diameter stamped steel wheels. Tires in sizes for 15s are harder to find , but available. 17s won’t fit on a 15 inch rim, of course.

I won't own a Vic (their ungodly expensive in my area unless you want a crackheads beater) however I want to throw a crown Vic motor in my 94 ranger just for v8 noises and burnouts and the 4.6 is cheaper than a 302 lol
I have 2 p71, one is a 2007 3 inch lift, 31 inch tires on 15 in rims with modified computer, intake, Gator LSD's. Twin side dump Flowmaster outlaw exhausts. The other is a 2004 p71, with a 32 valve marauder motor, ( the person who had this p71 before me put in the marauder motor, after the original motor had a cracked blocked. But yes I replaced the transmission twice so far in the 2004, replaced the intake manifold on on 2007. Can't wait till panther fest. Not sure which one I should bring. The 04 surprises a lot of Mustang owners, I actually beat a Maserati in the 07 one 4 times now. And that's the lifted off road set up🤣

bro mine blew out because the piston punshed it out because the crankshaft slipped out of it's bearings.... been in my shop for about a year now.

I honestly don't think that's an issue after certain years of the 4.6 but it is an issue on the older 5.4

I think the Merc marauder had either 17s or 18s. Check specs and they will fit I am sure.
