I kinda want to use a chiller for my outdoor tanks as I live in Saudi Arabia.... Any advice if there are any good chillers that will be good for our hot weather :)?
For a 4 feet aquarium you would maybe need a big chiller, they can go to about rm1000 or about 200usd or more, then you can really control the temperature without alot of evaporation like a fan, but its just to expensive and the electric bill is a bomb. I really just use a fan and i will just add water.
@@onlycars693 maybe you can help if my videos are helpful. I am trying out anoxic filter , which converts ammonia to nitrites to nitrates and then to nitrogen gas. Btw I am already cooling my 4ft to 25c using 4inch fan only
@@guppiesstories5942 i would like to have an anoxic filter, the only anoxic zone i have is in my substrate which i see alot of nitrogen bubbles, btw that fan must be very powerful.

Depends how much it runs , Id suggest still running fan (since it only consumes like 5-10w ) and then running chiller in the end, best if you can program it to start if the temperature hits 27, and set your heater on 25 (if it drops below )

@@darrenleekaixuan2791 Try a small USB fan that is aim't at/over the water surface instead of aim't at the glass, if that's your situation. Remove the lid from your tank if it has one. You can always buy a chiller if this doesn't work for you. You also can turn out the lights on hot days and if you have an internal powerfilter, switch over to air. If possible place your tank in a colder room in your house, take precortions so your house stays most cool (air early morning/late evening, close curtains during day). This way my 8, 10 and 20 liter tanks cool about 4-5 degrees celcius on hot days from 30C.

Best to get compressor based instead of thermo electric if you can get one. Thermo electric consumes a lot of power

My 4 inch fan can cool my 4ft aquarium to around 24-25c. Only draw back is fan noise and evaporation
