Maybe this sounds silly but I love how glowing and healthy you look. And it’s not because of weight loss but because you’ve found peace within yourself. It’s so refreshing to see that we don’t have to physically change the way we look to heal it’s from working within ourselves.

I have always had compassion and empathy for you, and have always been in your corner, but WOW! Seeing you OOZING positivity is such a beautiful thing. I admired your authenticity and vulnerability for sharing your hard times- but I started to see the negativity sucking you down more. You did the work and were able to climb out enough to change your mindset, and that is inspiring. Wishing you and your adorable family all the best and I live for your long content. Welcome back, Kristi! Up or down, we are here for you, but it sure is nice to celebrate your win now. ❤

I've had 5 boys (one who died at birth), 1 daughter and also have raised two foster daughters, and my husband died suddenly when our children were ages 6 to 23. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer just 4 weeks after my husband died, also dying months later. I don't have any option but to only deal with serious things. Losing my husband of 23 years and getting 7 kids through his death as I watched my own parent died, small stuff couldn't even be thought about. If no one is at risk for dying or if something will not matter in 5 years, I don't waste today worrying about it.

When you said everything is going to be alright it reminded me of one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite authors, John Muir.

Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.”

I’m so happy to hear that you’re involved with church and volunteering!! I’ve tried the therapy route and I’ve lately been much more involved in church and serving there, and I find that the best treatment is turning my focus outward to loving and building community with others (esp other believers). There are many beautiful things and benefits from it, one of which being that I don’t hyperfocus on my own stresses anymore in a way that is so opposite of what therapy encourages (not that therapy is bad - it absolutely helped me in a different season of life)

You should be so proud of yourself. I’m also doing a lot of inner work and healing and your journey inspires me. Keep showing yourself grace for what didn’t work out in the past. I truly deep down believe that things happen for a reason. I think if you had accepted those opportunities then, it wouldn’t be the success you would have hoped for because you were still dealing with so much internally that maybe you wouldn’t be able to appreciate it as much then as you would be able to now if that makes sense. I LOVE your perspective on gentle parenting!! "It's no big deal" is something I really need to adopt in my parenting. I am still in the throws of postpartum depression and I suffer from postpartum rage so this is something I really need to work on. I DO NOT want to be a yelling mom. It pains me when I feel the rage and I let it show in front of my daughter. I am trying to give myself grace as I learn to cope better. Anyway, I love your perspective 🥰

5th generation farmer here! Buy a used tractor! You can find one for 5k-10k. 50k for a tractor you won't be using 10+hours a day is crazy, but don't be discouraged, there are more economical options that would fit your needs. I would recommend looking on the E side of WA, we have more agriculture and such. Good luck! I love seeing you and your family! ❤

Loved this video! We finished our house build in January 2023 &just love how customized to us it is. Pros of building your own house.
The gentle parenting part is so freaking hard! But you said regulating your own emotions first makes it easier &better. So I need to tackle that first because unfortunately, I grew up in a yelling, getting physical discipline household.
I just filmed a new video for the 3rd time after taking a year n a half off🫠 I hope coming back to RUclips is merciful😅
Love you so much RBK💕 Thank you for always keeping shit real.

Hey Kristi, I have been a subscriber for some time. Watching you transition through your motherhood was so open of you to post. I really enjoyed this video, and I’m so happy you are mentally healing. I know it’s hard to stay positive at times but you really taught me a couple things watching this video. Building that ‘It’s not big deal’ outlook and about the housing market. You are very smart, and very bright. I always appreciate your feedback and opinion. I really love your style design for things, especially how you have worked on a couple of houses before. You are a hard worker and your husband too. You guys are making the changes the world needs to see the best you both can. You are positively changing the world, and I am super grateful there are mindful people like yall in the world. I’m glad you hold God close, and you are open about it. I have so much respect for that too. Just keep shining, and I’m so happy to hear anything from you. Even if I don’t personally know you, I feel like you are one of the only people I look forward to seeing on RUclips. I deleted all my socials so YT is the only place I have to stay connected on the web. Thank you for being you 🌺

As an older momma, (my children are 23,17,16,16) I can tell you right now that when they were little, yes it was extremely overwhelming and some days I was very overwhelmed, especially since the three youngest are only nine months apart, I learned back then that if you don't yell, if youre calm, if you do not react big to things like spills (or my lit candles being dropped and liquid wax EVERYWHERE lol) and if I say "it's ok, it's just stuff, it can be replaced. We make mistakes, we just have to clean it now" and so they had to help me clean it up but I didn't react big. They would start crying thinking I might be mad at them and I say no no it's ok honey, it's just a mistake and I love you, no tears needed honey" that made a huge difference for them. I also learned if I don't scream and yell and threaten, that when they get older (like my kids current ages) and much much much much more serious things happen (that can potentially destroy their future) they have built years of respect up for you, they know they are loved and safe and that I want the best for them so when we have to deal with really bad things or their being typical sneaky bad teenagers, if I do have to raise my voice for some awful reason, it's just barely and it has a much bigger impact and they know that there must be something very wrong if momma is this upset. They will listen more. They will respect you. They will believe you when you tell them you aren't trying to control them but rather want good things for them.,they believe it. My children do not scream at me or call me names or throw things or act out horrible like so many teenagers because they've learned respect, they've felt loved and seen, they know and believe I am on their side and support them NO MATTER WHAT. I also will tell you one huge thing I did that made a huge difference is when they became preteens, I told them that I understand really bad choices will start presenting themselves and peer pressure will happen and they will want relationships etc etc and I always told them, do not keep secrets from mom, always tell me the truth and you won't get in trouble. Be open and honest and I'll have your back and help you through it, BUT, if you start lying to me, and scheming, you will begin losing all serious privleges that come with growing up, cell phone, the ability to get a job and make money, getting your license, being able to go to dances and all kinds of stuff kids really wanna do. I repeated to them over and over to tell momma things and don't lie and you'll be safe and I'll help you. I told them if they made a bad choice someday or were in a bad predicament, to just call me and I'll come for you. You won't get in trouble for being honest. You won't get in trouble for it, I'll just wanna keep you safe and help you. This eventually includes sexual things, birth control, etc etc when they get older. We have always been super open in our house, every single topic is openly discussed. I am very honest about my life experiences and the lessons i had to learn and why I don't want them to have to repeat my mistakes. They know they can tell me ANYTHING, and they do. Starting this behavior with them when they are so little and innocent will benefit you GREATLY when the very difficult teen and young adult topics and situations begin happening. Just wanted to share that.

I remember you at your last house with all the loud trucks lmao. You described what would be your perfect home and you described it exactly as you live now. I am so proud of you. Weird to tell a basic stranger that but I'm currently dealing with mental and physical disability. I just turned 36 in January and I'm scared that before I get my health together I won't be able to have kids. I'm working towards it just certain habits I need to quit. I just want you to know that every single video you have posted I watched and I relate to you so much it's kind or scarey. I even started watching the Office. I didn't get it until the second season l😂. You encourage me and you make a difference. Thank you for making me feel not alone.

I also practice gentle parenting with my two kiddos honestly it’s the best way to parent my kids are now 20 and 11 years old and they are golden when they were young they both never played up for me me I believe this is because of the gentle parenting techniques there is never a need to shout at a child it just caused more stress for both the parent and child talking through things calmly showing empathy and understanding is the best way love your videos

I needed the “no big deal” info session. I always feel guilty towards the end of the day for getting stressed over small things that really weren’t that bad in hindsight. Definitely going to try and put this into practice more and make life more pleasant in general for myself and my family.
