"Organized chaos" is def the best way to describe this song haha.
Didn't know the base line was Thoms! Really cool, learned something new about my favorite band today!

Oh man this song takes me places. It's just so chaotic yet calming for me, and man do I love the horns in this song. An eight is a really generous score for someone who is not a Radiohead fan. Waiting for "I might be wrong", whenever it comes.

This is a beauty! GOAT of the GOAT. Excited to hear this. Way to prep Jacob for the journey. Did not know that Thom actually played bass on this track. Crazy. Kid A makes me feel LUCKY! You guys have an impressively balanced spread of reactions but as your official RH balancer, here is what needs attention. PH - 5/12 (41.7%). Bends - 5/12 (41.7%). OK - 5/12 (41.7%). KidA - 4/10 (40%). Amn - 3/11 (27.3%). HTTT 4/14 (28.6%). IR - 5/10 (50%). TKOL - 3/8 (37.5%). AMSP - 4/11 (36.4%). Extras - 6/?. Summary ;) : Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief each need a track. How about "I MIGHT BE WRONG", "PYRAMID SONG", "GO TO SLEEP", or "WHERE I END AND YOU BEGIN". Eventually, please do the beautiful "LUCKY" once you catch up. KEEP TRUCKING. Loving it!

Glad you mentioned the traffic jam. Having read the quote it made sense.

Some of my favourite Radiohead songs are I Promise, Present Tense, Pyramid Song, Let Down and Bodysnatchers.

You need to do “Everything In It’s Right Place” or “Morning Bell”. They’re the two other really good songs from Kid A

No it's probably the Beatles but I do love Radiohead

    Fun fact
Thom purposely asked the brass section to not tune
And when they played SNL the crowd was confused as to what history they were witnessing

It just hit me. Just a random observation. Jacob sounds/talks a lot like Lex Fridman.

This is a repeat of a comment that I left on your Episode 42: Anyone Can Play Guitar offering. Because this video is about The National Anthem, I felt it appropriate to repeat this comment, as follows:
Hey Scott. You have to check out this RUclips clip.
    ruclips.net/video/T-ZVlcEmARg/видео.html
It is a version of Radiohead’s “The National Anthem” with only the noises and sound effects. Radiohead first caught my ear with OK Computer where the songs all seemed to be backed with incredible soundscapes. As they progressed to Kid A and beyond, this effect became even more pronounced. With this RUclips clip, you will gain and insight into how these soundscapes are produced. Some parts (such as the beginning and ending) you will know. Other sections you won’t recognise outright, but if you are like me, you will feel a sense of familiarity with them, as if you have subliminally heard them before within the cacophony of noise that is the manic Miles Davis inspired brass section.
After listening to this clip, I played the entire Kid A album and it was as if my ear was suddenly opened up to all of the amazing noises and sound effects that are embedded throughout that album.
I hope you get as much out of this as I did.
