@@JeffDeWitt As to the Feds, Miranda rights were imposed in 1913. The Surpreme Court refused to impose it on the states, deciding each state should try its own way to correct the Constitutional problems protected by Miranda including making sure Defendants would have access to attorneys and know they had the right to be silent. Most states that addressed the problems ended up adopting the Rule the Supreme Court had imposed on Feds in 1913. The British even adopted the rule sometime post WWII. Joe Friday is a better cop than fat boy. No one gives a speech like Friday.
????
The head of the Highway Patrol goes out on every call, and works at a desk next to the dispatcher.;)
+Barney Fife You know how it goes Barney...keep 'em coming Barn! Love 'em!
RUFUS T. FIREFLY the Highway Patrol is the cops. So he did call the police by calling the highway patrol. The highway patrol is the state police
Dan is hovering over those incoming calls. He wait to get out of the office.
Judgemental and argumentative was Dan Mathews
RIP Red Baker
Red baker doesn't like that barber, he said all he does is talk behind your back!
Funny guy, though. A real cut-up!
The judge never did get his haircut. He should have. He looks like a hippy.
I'm amazed that the dispatcher knew the prison's number without having to google it (or call Information). Impressive.
Is Judge Crossen being played by the same actor who played Sir Thomas McDonald in The Kennel Murder Case?
it was shown on the APB.
20:00 .................................. The killer should have had a scope on that hunting rifle. D'oh!
Open sights will work fine at that distance. Especially if he has practiced. Looks like a sporterized Model 1917 Eddystone .30/06. I have one and I can hit a paper plate out to 150 yards.
@@MrTruckerf
Peep sights like he had are more accurate than open sights.
Love this show! There's 2 cops caught taking a leak while having to respond to dispatch. What's better than that?
Ha!! I just made the same comment, 3 years after you!!😜
🎶"They called him Two Gun... Two Gun Red... the dumbest outlaw that ever bled.🎶
It ISN'T WHAT you DRIVE, BUT HOW you drive that COUNTS! #mgmlion #roar
Looks like Floyd’s barbershop.
If it was Floyd's barbershop, it would have been well protected by Barney Fife!! 😊😊
Good episode
He got past the roadblock, could have been halfway to Mexico instead he stays to kill Judge and has to warn him ahead of time. What a Jamoke:)
she opens the trunk with NO KEY ? Wouldn't want to miss that weekly haircut..............LOL
I didn't know Paul Cavanaugh was still acting in the 50s. A very well educated English actor of the 30s and 40s.
David Smith 163 film and television appearances. His last film was the psychotronic The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake in 1959. I remember him fondly from his appearances in the Sherlock Holmes movies.
Some of these are pretty hokey, but this one takes the cake!
Prison clothes 7:35 found in what is now the Dodger Stadium parking lot. The hideout house they used is located at 1226 lilac pl in Los Angeles, it cost $5,000 brand new when it was built in 1922. It is still standing and is worth $550,000 today. And you won't find a white person within 10 miles of it today.
It rained in L.A!
I'm curious how you know one patch of woods out of billions of acres. Do you have landmarks ? Or are you familiar where they shot these films as as with LA in general ?
@Amulke Kid: there is a web site www.imdb.com that tells you were most of the episodes were shot.
Over a half of million dollars. Housing costs way too much. People are spending well over 50% of there income on housing. What is the answer?
john Smith There is also a book out that shows where a lot of the episodes were filmed
He's bald. Nice sweater girl too.
4:48 ... what stop sign?
It isn't what you drive, but how you drive that counts.
great show not sure about the judge life threated and he wants to go for a hair cut! lol
"We'll have no hippies in MY courtroom !"
@ Bob-- The judge gets a haircut every Thursday. His hair must grow very fast!! 😊😊
I thought it NEVER RAINS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ??
ever outside scene the birds r churping
I can't believe how fast people give up there rights. Never talk to the police. Never let them in your home. Never consent to a search .. politely assert your rights ask for a lawyer and shut up.
Remember, this was years before Miranda.
In Miranda the Supreme Court notice many states had adopted the rule for their states and finally extended it to all states.
@@paulmentzer7658 California must have adopted it sometime in the late 60's. They don't read anyone their rights on the Dragnet radio show, but on the later TV shows they do, and that is something Jack Webb would have made sure they got right.
@@JeffDeWitt In the Saint movies of the 1930s when dealing with British Police, what we call Miranda warnings were given, thus it appears to be post WWI not WWII for Britain. As to California, I suspect late 1950s or early 1960s, for such warnings are not given in the Black and White Dragnet of the early to mid 1950s, but given in the Color Dragnets of the mid to late 1960s.
fdegeorge2000 You are obviously a young person. We did not think that way back then, before the Globalist Fascists took over the country by murdering JFK. Everything began to change in 1964, which is obvious is films and tv before and after. Cops are people, too. Some good, some bad.
Imagine our RCMP driving a full-size tank of a 58 Buick !
They probably drove something that large then...
Mostly Fords in the RCMP back then and the officers had to maintain them almost beyond all belief.
Matthews walks like his feet hurt
He’s a flat foot.
He was usually about half drunk half the time. And totally drunk the rest of the time.
