- I've chosen to slow things down a bit with this meditative piece. The prelude is an example of the sheer beauty of Bach's musical imagination. It is a polyphonic piece with two voices in a modified "rounded binary" form & a work of soulful expressiveness. Notice the tension he creates with dissonant harmonies & how smoothly & effortlessly he resolves them. I thought I would just breeze through this piece in a couple of weeks but it took me much longer to memorize where all the important ties & suspensions begin & end. And I had to place the bellows changes in such a way so as not to sound overly abrupt. This is another one of those pieces that gives me a natural megadose of endorphins as I affirm Bach's own credo of "SOLA DEO GLORIA!"

Sounds great. Yeah Bach!
Thanks Richard! On the musical map "All roads lead to Bach!"
Very enjoyable. Bellow changes are so clever that it sound like an organ. If expressiveness is the key, somewhat less tempo might be applicable, in a way that each new harmony comes as a surprise, like it would have been invented in the moment it is played... that will come automatically when the piece is left alone for a few weeks and then played again. Bravo!
Thanks for the great advice "bootsbaugarage". Some people say, "With Bach you should just let the notes do the talking," but I find with the accordion there's so much opportunity to articulate them in an individualistic way.
bravoo you play it so well!
Thanks Hana! I'm glad you liked it.
