Sri Lanka surf, Midigama Plantations area. Jan 6 2024. Large swell, 6-12ft. Normal surf here is 4-6ft during December - January.

Does this wave always close up fast? I will be for in that region in February, it would be nice to have big and long wave. this one seems very short though

What you see here is unheard of in the area. This was a unicorn event with beefy long waves.
Usually its 4-6ft waves, and close out at double the rate.
