I remember, I was about 15 or a little less then 15 years old, when I was playing this masterpiece. This Hitman is the best part in whole trilogy of this cult game. Missions are so samn interesting and hard. Today I'm 29 and it brings so many memories.
All this time I never knew you could stealthily kill one of the targets by just firing the real ww1 gun at the same time as the guy on the opera fires his fake one.
This was the first hitman game I played and I still do sometimes,I replayed all the missions so many times I can't even count them,I think this game is the perfect game in my humble opinion. I just love how you can customize everything and the untraceable case was bliss. Also Diana's briefings were excellent💅🏻
A classic stealth title, up there with MGS3 and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, love to see that this is the only one of those stealth franchises that’s still going strong even if the studio had they’re dark days
In the 'You better watch out' mission, I found an easiest way to kill both. 1st go to the bar and talk to bartender, he'll give you an aphrodisiac, simply pour it into the glass on the right or wait for the waiter to bring the glass back. Wait till Chad get out of the pool to go get laid (You can peek through to see the mini strip scene). After that he'll go downstairs, follow him and simply push him over the rail. The second target is same way I did it but simply push him over.
How i would have done Requiem: The walls of the church suddenly close, leaving franchise members startled. A machine gun turrent pops up and guns down all of Leland's men. Rick and Cayne hide in the basement, but unbeknown to them, it's a trap! Gas knocks them out. Cayne wakes up on the same Bed 47 was on. He's screaming at 47. "You can't do this.. you have no idea who I am!" 47 replies with, "I know you. You're a liar and a murderer. Of my colleagues. Of innocent people! You've been doing this dance for more than 10 years.. but know that dance is over." He pulls the lever, and Cayne is burned alive, just like he did with the truth. Rick soon wakes up chained to the fence. He says, "I'm just a reporter... Don't do this to me... I'm a household name.." 47 then replies: that's the last thing you should be worried about." He then points his weapons at Rick. Gunshots and screaming can be heard. And just like cayne, He too is incinerated in the cremator. Ironic. They burn the truth for profit. Now they're the ones getting burned by their own lies.
This game is free of many of problems that bugged the earlier games, but I never understood why it's feels and looks so stiff and square. Contracts really is the best, but doesn't feel like a complete game. It also feels a bit monotone with the rain and bleak theme in every mission. Hitman 2, I think, has the best story arch.
I dunno what or why, but there is something about the 47 and diana of this game. Something that was somehow missing in absolution. I can't speak about the newer games since I did not play them, since I have mixed feelings for reboots. Anyway, That's just me saiyng this is my favorite iteration of 47 and diana.
The newer game is not really a reboot as it is a continuation since it also acknowledges the events of the previous games. The WOA series refined the gameplay formula the older games were aiming for, albeit the story is not as good as the older ones, I think.
Still the best Hitman game after all these years. This isn't a nostalgic take, if it was I'd have Silent Assassin at #2, it's the most holistically satisfying one of the lot. If this game got remade with it's concepts expanded on more in-depth for today's consoles, e.g. the newspaper articles aren't templates but have different writing styles every time + were more or less sensationalist depending if you bought bribes, dozens more customization options for all your weapons, etc... it would trump the newer ones (which aren't bad) with ease.

When your health reach 0, you have a last opportunity and you can do three o four headshots before you die, if you do it, you can survive, it just can trigger one time. This mechanic was in Contracts too.

This video game movie is good though the repetition of the use of syringe as assassination weapon is pale. The gunfight is a bit more interesting although the rest of the movie is similar.

Game has barely aged at all, I’m surprised at how well it holds up. Still feels like it would’ve been made within the past couple years.
I played this game as a kid and just killed everyone. Even after playing every Hitman game it still is my favourite one.
