Saw the revival, it was the best production of Oklahoma I have ever seen. I will probably never be able to see Oklahoma in its original form again, as this revival blew it right outta the water. Taking the original score and book and making it so masterfully new and fresh is so astounding.

I don’t understand why people are so upset at this performance? They’re both very talented, not the most talented technically, but that’s not the point they are perfect for the story the director is telling. People need to remember THIS ISN’T A PRODUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL OKLAHOMA!!!!! It’s a reinterpretation of Oklahoma.... meaning they’re telling a different story in a different way. It’s fine if this isn’t your cup of tea, but many others like it because it’s bringing a new light to revivals on broadway. Thank god for that, cause I’m getting tired of the same performance over and over.

The way they sing IS the tone of this revival.

I am rather underwhelmed at the vocal quality. A few pop/country singing tricks isn't quite enough to make this song enjoyable. And why is Laurie an alto? And I'm assuming she doesn't join him at the end (as written) because it's too high for her. And Curley is a tenor? Not how it was written. I call it the "American Idol" factor.
