I don't think you have to explain yourself or even justify your visit!! Family is important and this lockdown has gone on for so long that it is taking its toll in so many other ways besides covid. Nice to see you enjoying yourself with the ones you love!
I applaud you for doing this. Everybody's so paranoid about this virus but not many people want to address the mental health decline that has inevitably come with all this crap. It'll be interesting to see how many people can't recover emotionally or mentally from all that's going on.
I think the key to getting things moving forward for everyone is remember moderation. Everything in moderation. Things will get better, they have to. Hang in there friend-you are doing great!❤️
I have had to safely skirt some public health measures to protect my daughter's mental health. I tried very hard to protect all 4 of my children's mental health but it wasn't enough for my daughter. She is only 12 and diagnosed with depression. We have allowed her to have one in person friend even when there was to be no in person gatherings and after quarantining for 2 weeks we visited her grandparents in another province. That trip was a game changer. It didn't make the deoression go away, but we definitely seen her go on the upswing. Most importantly, she said it helped. I am tried of people shaming others that don't know their battles. I don't know what it is like to lose someone to covid, but I don't want to lose my daughter to the fight against covid💜.
OMG Amanda, Thank you for sharing with us ur visit with ur family. It legit brought me soooo much joy to see you happy and excited to be with your family.
Beautiful Vlog Amanda and you should really feel no need to explain yourself, if this video upsets someone then sadly it will say more about them than you. This whole thing has gone on for far too long now and the governments of the world have far too much control over our individual human rights. Here in England we were told it was just 3 weeks at home to flatten the curve a year ago! I’m trying to ignore the conspiracies but the longer this all goes on the more I do question everything! So glad you had a lovely time with your sister and family, plus it was cool to see how they extract the maple syrup! I’m so glad to see this lifted your spirits and it makes me feel so sad for all the people sitting at home in total fear on their own. Lots of love xx
I had a pretty low stage recently. Mine builds up and then boom! I say horrible stuff, cry, talk then sort my brain. Not the best way to deal with it I know. But hey, we all deal with things differently. Sounds to me like you are trying to deal with this in a very positive way. Sending positive, healing thoughts Xx
They probably don't have enough trees to do so, but in Nova Scotia, people will tap the Maple trees and boil it down to Maple syrup, which is sold at the local Farmers Market. Tastes better than the store bought stuff. Glad to hear that you had some happy time away from dean and the kids.
Don't be guilty at all. I love that you did this. It almost brings tears to my eyes to see the wonderful family time that alot of people are missing out on. These memories are being missed by so many. We need eachother
So happy you got to see your family, after a health scare can definitely put things in perspective. We went through something similar last summer. 💕 Loving the colour of your hair, do you know what no. Colour it is? Also where is your blue tie dye hoodie from??
So happy you finally got your basal carsonoma removed🥳 I'm guessing relieved doesn't even come close to how you feel, cancer of any kind scares the bejesus out of me. You are one strong lady!
Our mental health is as important as our physical health so I think a trip is quite reasonable. We live in Atlantic Canada and a large part of my family is in province. I would be losing my mind if I hadn’t seen them for a year! So glad you did it 😊
Amanda, I’m a longtime subscriber and I’m an American ED nurse. People don’t realize that if we had handled this pandemic correctly in the beginning and been cooperative with mask and social distancing, we could have been living better lives (albeit different than our normal). So having been careful and paying attention to your bubble was the right thing to do. Seeing people that were also careful in their bubbles is an ok thing to do. That’s the life we should have been leading instead of having to protect ourselves against all of the naysayers. Keep up your good work with your bubble. It’s hard but as healthcare workers, we thank you

Dont feel any guilt amanda, things are gonna be fine. Im sure people are going to be safe. This is all taking too long for people to handle.
I think you're right, it's going on so long and it's weighing too heavy on people.
I don't think you have to explain yourself or even justify your visit!! Family is important and this lockdown has gone on for so long that it is taking its toll in so many other ways besides covid. Nice to see you enjoying yourself with the ones you love!
Thank you. It's been a long year.
So pleased you managed to have a short break. Healing isn’t just on the outside. Take care lovely Amanda x
You're so right, it was food for my soul.
So glad to see that smile on your face again. The trip was much needed.
I feel so much lighter!

I agree, there is lasting impact and returning to "normal" will take time - it's not the easiest switch! I was so tired after seeing everyone.

Thank you! Yes, I can't wait for life to resume - even if it looks different - we all need to get back to some type fo routine!
It was so nice to see you so happy at the end. After the rain comes the sun...hang in there!
Thank you! I'm feeling so much lighter this week.

I'm hyper aware of how low I've been...slowly coming out of it. I see you. This is not easy.
You shouldn't'feel guilty at all! I think being with family is essential...I live abroad and God knows when I can visit my family. Breaks my heart.
Yes! Thank you!
