The Russian meaning of attrition in this war seems to be to smash towns, schools, hospitals, mainly based on buildings, wiping out the opportunity to use cities and towns by total destruction; by gradual process, whereas the Ukrainians are going more for knocking out troops, military equipment, supply dumps, communications which makes perfect sense for Ukraine. The AVM is quite right, the Ukrainians cannot afford the Russian equivalent of attrition, they need the towns and cities and factories, to rebuild, once the Russians are kicked out.

I disagree with the assessment that Ukraine will lose a war of attrition, they are looking like they will *win* a war of attrition.
Russia can't replenish the heavy materiel they lose, and the Russian side is also losing people at such a greater rate that they will run out of manpower before Ukraine will, despite the population difference.
But what is more important is that this war will never come down to population, it's not that type of war. It will come down to heavy materiel, and Ukraine will never lose that fight.

@@justicehenrydamian475 Russia can be seen sending tanks from the 60's on trains to Ukraine. Artillery pieces from the 50's. Russia are slowly but surely running out of stuff.
Their new conscripts are sleeping directly on wooden floors. Not even a carpet, directly on the floor, in huge groups in large empty rooms.
So, no, Russia does not have more materiel than what Ukraine will have, and Russia has no actual way to win this war anymore.

Thanks Sky News. This is 🇺🇦 opportunity to use guerrilla tactics to prevent supplies getting to the 🇷🇺 invaders before reinforcements arrive. Small mobile units working with partisan groups can sabotage roads, rail & 🇷🇺communications in many areas. Hopefully this tactic will spread 🇷🇺 forces for repairs: a chance for 🇺🇦 to eliminate a smaller group. The west MUST send all the weapons 🇺🇦 requires to repel the invaders before 🇷🇺 reinforcements arrive. Victory to Ukraine.

The referendum is on the territory of the people who live there. If they don't like the Kiev regime which was imposed on Ukraine by a US regime change operation, they should be able to vote for their territory to secede or join Russia.

Referendums also have a preparing time Russia just skipped entirely and are illegal to do in conflict areas according to international law to avoid rifles forcing a pre determined decision out of the population which is what we are seeing today with soldiers going door to door which is two violations at once as people have a right to abstain from voting

A long war of attrition is how a smaller force wins. USA beat the British in an 8 year war. Vietnam beat France and USA in a 20 year war. Afganistan beat the Soviet Union and the USA. Russia defeated Napoleon the same way. The smaller force just has to survive its loses and continue to exist until the invader gets tired of the costs.
