      It's because as long as you're out of the strike range they're completely harmless. And even within the strike range, if you know what you're doing you can easily avoid most if not all strikes. _Also_, zoom is kind of a thing.

    Looks like the snake has some nasty-looking wounds on it. Ripped open to the muscle! I'm sure injuries like that are common; prey getting a few bites or scratches in before suffocating.

    • @chriswinkler284
      @chriswinkler284 5 лет назад +21

      Yeah. Prey won't go down quietly, and a wound as serious as that looks like it might run the risk of being infected until it fully heals which would probably take weeks.

      When snakes don't latch on to the face of their prey their prey will bite back.
      Although snakes don't notice the bite while they are constricting their prey.
      That's why so many snake handlers feed their snakes frozen meals.

    They could've also mentioned that it would've taken as long as six hours before the snake has fully consumed its meal. Also that it needs to sallow its prey head first, otherwise it would choke on the victim's spine.

    What sucks is that once a snake eats, he's vulnerable as fuck afterward, because it has to digest its food. So basically, the snake is fucked. 😂
