Went to Mulhouse back in 80 with my dad to see the Bugatti museum. didn't even know about this one! Was amazed at the number of Mercedes and Bugatti's. That collection has to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
nah.. this has to be IMPOSSIBLE. It's a trick.. a ruse....a Hollywood production....can't be so HUGE and diverse and sooooooooo beautiful.. in every way. WOW. I'm blown away. Seen other collections, as have others too on utube, etc. THIS is.. almost.. too much to take in. THANKS for much for all who made this possible for all of us to see - those like myself who will surely never have the opportunity to see this for ourselves. TY TY TY TY TY TY TY
So this is what heaven looks like. I could live here. I could die happy here. I feel bad about the gentleman below that doen't like it. It's all about the cars, not so much the building. The building inside in one area is lit like a Paris auto show from the '30s. Brilliant! And the more plain areas are plain so your eye focuses on the cars, not the surroundings. The is a place of worship. The so called "kitsch" lions I'm sure represent Peugeot and maybe other marques. The very rare pedal cars are ones you'll never see anywhere else in the World and are as much a part of automobile culture and the 1:1s And the long entrance is a dramatic yet restrained build-up of what's to come. Thank you for this!!!!!
15:07 a pile of rust dust? I'd love to see this in person but will settle for the video. This is a beautiful museum, love seeing so many different cars. 16:10 precursor to the Smartcar?
The original museum from the Schlumpf brothers was extraordinary. Only dream cars. The new version of the museum is a pity. Many cars that could be find in a car park introduced, uninteresting toys, and a big part of the museum plunged into darkness. Of course wonderful car can still be seen there.
Definitely different to when I visited back in the early 1990s, it was still basically the same as in the 1970s but I can see many exhibits have been added. I don't think the Schlumpfs would have bothered with Trabants, Renault 5s and Fiat 500s to be honest. But whatever happened to the wonderful Voisin V12 C20 Mylord demi Berline ? Probably the most spectacular car in the old collection.
@@russbellew6378 I went home then discovered the week after I went to Mulhouse all the Royales were collected together at a show in Paris's Bois de Boulogne. Arrrrrrsrgggggghhhhhh!
I visited it from 1989 on a few times and it was one large hall and all cars aligned between original Parisian cast iron street lamps. The view started just from the entrance behind the Restaurant to the left. At the right was a looping video show about the race successes back in time of the Bugattis. And a big play organ. About 420 cars i counted. And the here mentioned Voisin was at least in the back parked with many other smelling cars. You could also toured it with some original electric vehicles. Maybe some of the neoglobalists stole the majority from the exhibition - this are all crooks and criminals and they give a shit about someone's lifework. Sad to see this yet in this condition.
I know im asking randomly but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Kristopher Joaquin I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Except for technical background information about the car, I think I would be even more interested in knowing to which banker, captain of industry, opera singer or moviestar this Bugatti or that Rolls once belonged to. The "human" story behind it. Sometimes, there are very frivolous stories to be told. The owners of the factory producing "apperitives Byrrh" for example always used two Rolls Royces to go to a restaurant... Just in case one would have a mechanical problem whatsoever... Such background stories bring these cars even more to life than knowing about their speed, whether it is a 3 L or a 7 L motor....
I get that this is an amateur video, but, I can't be silent. The camera work is terrible. I didn't need to see the building, exterior, corridors, displays, etc. I also didn't want the camera to zoom by each car like a groom late for his own wedding. Sorry, Antonio, I'm sure you're a nice guy, you like cars after all. Three words of advice... edit, edit, edit!
Stunned by shapes and forms, the person who shot this erratic vid is completely clueless on why one would anyone would love to see the brand or plaque with a tiny bit more detail or time. Weak!
While I’m grateful to whoever uploaded this, now that I’ve seen this “legendary” museum, I’m disappointed. It’s more a warehouse than a museum, crammed to the rafters with far, far too many cars. And their only commonality is that they’re old. A lot of them aren’t even worth a second glance. To top it off, there are clusters of kitsch throughout the place, from concrete lions to uninteresting childrens’ pedal cars. Thanks once again to the uploaders - they spared me a long detour to this place the next time I visit France.
The original Schlumpf collection was taken over due to tax forgetting by the brothers...it is not only a luxury car museum but a museum dedicated to car industry...so also popular cars that you saw in your youth but that your grand children do not know. It is great to see a Dauphine next to a Bugatti. You may suffer and critcise this but you should take your family there, or stay with Beaulieu...
why would anyone play such shit sounds while showing such a wonderful display of classical and antique cars, had to mute that crap to watch for even a short time, disrespectful to such art.

I remember of 23x Type 55 super Sport in a row and
3x Type 41. They had been stolen i think.

Mas que fantástica coleção de Bugattis!! Impressionante! Só não vi nenhum Jaguar, meu predileto.
2:55 - The Esders Royale had no headlights because the owner was only going to drive it during the day!

Schlumpf is the German word for Smurf. That's why there are so many blue cars in that museum....
No, Blue was the colour of former frensh Racing cars like silver for german, red for italian and green for british cars !
