New York/New England is a pretty big market.
Die hard UConn fan since 90s. Most fans today are thrilled with this announcement. Basketball maintains its prestige/brand, and it allows FB to be competitive again as it was about a decade ago when in a power conference for FB. In our short 10 year existence in power FB in old BE we were routinely ranked and ranked as high as #8. Plus a couple conference champions, and a NY6 Bowl in 2012. We’d be thrilled to have funds needed to compete again. Plus UConn is a state land grant school willing to invest since no pro sports in town.
“The Big 12 conference has multiple champion schools.” Proceeds to only talk about Kansas with 4 and Baylor with 1. But the Big East has UConn with 6 and Villanova with 3. 😂
Miss you so much on locked on bro, new host blows. Please post more daily content and bring back Civil conFLiCT!!!
What happened
@randy2558 you couldn’t be more right bro! Locked On BIG12 was so much better when Josh was hosting!
UConn football sold out (40K) while in the Big East.
Yormark is ALL about Going BIG!
UConn is a great addition. They just need to start spending the $$ on football
So Villanova hasn't had success? Big 12 teams aren't playing in the Garden ahead of any BIG EAST teams.
Why does Brett want this so much. Football raises money and UCONN football is awful.
If they have the $$ to spend on football they can be good. That’s a huge market
Why does the SEC want UNC? Same reason.
Mush on!!!! Go Uconn!!!!
UConn will never have the sort of football program which can be an asset to the B12. It’s alum base do not care. Any reference to the nyc market fails to understand anything about UConn
I don't understand what the rush is. Why not wait a few years to see what happens to the ACC?
In the mean time what about getting Big East-Big 12 Battle in basketball (and maybe other sports) renewed? That would be supported by virtually all fans.
Prob. need UCONN hoops as back fill for if/when KU goes SEC.
Ku going to sec has as much of a chance as kamla in this debate v trump 😆
I just wouldn’t do this for UConn alone, if I’m the ADs I want to know what the plan is beyond UConn. Who else is being targeted, bc I can vote for UConn in basketball if there’s a legit shot at someone better in football to offset it. At this point you know which ACC teams have reached out and inquired about landing there. Whether it’s Louisville or Pitt. And how many teams we want the conference to be if it’s 24 the. U can take one for football and one for basketball ball. Or B12 just might have the leverage to invite the schools for basketball only and if they can do that then Syracuse, Duke, and everyone else is in play while they play football in a different conference
UConn would be a GREAT addition for the big 12!
I think the real question for UCONN is do they stay in the BIG East or go to the BIG12?? What makes more sense financially for them???
Whyyyyyy? Forget Football. They'll never be good. Big East 4 life.
UH ,Kansas, Uconn.. good lord be murderers row 😆🇺🇸💪🏻
Completely not interested in UCONN. No way. No thanks.
I’m surprised it’s UConn and not USF that’s about to move
UConn basketball is a big brand
@@Knightowl1980 yeah but we would be adding them in more than just basketball…if we are adding a school in all sports I would prefer we get a more rounded candidate as opposed to just a basketball school. Give me USF all day, or perhaps Memphis.
UConn only makes sense as a basketball-only addition
@@brandonh5360 I think that’s where we disagree on who is well rounded. Youre talking a powerhouse basket ball program with multiple national championship for men’s and women’s basketball. U put them in the B12 that will elevate the football program which isn’t awful they have resources and was once pretty good , usf doesn’t compare on either of those fronts.
It’s not a done deal. I’m a UConn fan and I only give it a 40% chance of getting done.
@@Alan-lv9rwI would say it's better than that
From a UCF Knight. We don’t care at all about the Civil Conflict. It was a big joke. 😂
UConn adds nothing in football. At this point we need to hold out for potential ACC schools. If UConn is interested in basketball only, then we can talk.
Big talk from crap school.
Just say no to UConn Football. The Civil ConFLiCT was something..... 😅
