Trains arriving and departing one after another at Nara Station on the JR Yamatoji Line (Kansai Main Line), Nara Line, and Manyo Mahoroba Line (Sakurai Line) in Japan (holidays and evening hours around 16:30 to 18:30) ). A limited express "Mahoroba" that goes directly to the Osaka Higashi Line, a direct rapid service, a Yamatoji rapid service on the Yamatoji line, a rapid service on the Nara line, a rapid service, a local train (stops at every station), and each car on the Manyo Mahoroba line.
We are filming the arrival and departure of the limited express "Mahoroba" bound for Osaka via the Osaka Higashi Line and Shin-Osaka, which started running again in March 2023. The vehicle is the 287 series (3-car train) used by Kuroshio. At the platform, a banner was put up before the departure of "Mahoroba", and the concourse was also decorated.
Also, during this time period, a direct rapid service (221 series 8-car train) via the Osaka Higashi Line is also in operation, and I filmed one from Nara to Osaka.
In addition to the Yamatoji rapid service trains, most of the trains on the Nara line are 221 series, but you can also see the 205 series on local trains on the Nara line. On the Manyo Mahoroba Line, 227 series 1000 series 2-car trains were running.
There are 3 island-type platforms with 5 tracks. Platform 1 is for the Manyo Mahoroba Line, Platforms 2 and 3 are for the Yamatoji Line/Osaka, and Platforms 4 and 5 are for the Yamatoji Line/Kamo Line and the Nara Line. The tracks at Platform 2 are also connected to the opposite side of the island platform from Platform 1, and the doors on both sides of the train at Platform 2 open. (On the other side of Platform 1, there is a sign that says "this platform".)
Yamatoji rapid train bound for Nara and trains on the Nara line turned back directly at the platform, and some trains entered and exited from the garage and the track.
