Great video! I had no idea the first 4 hours are randomized in that way. The main "catch" I see on Product Hunt is that it tends to attract other indie hackers, I think it's amazing if you can target them, like in your case :) my first launch there went quite bad, no negative comments but I only got a bunch of spammers and other people asking for upvotes. In part I think that happened because my product was not for the avg user that hangs out on PH. Anyway, I'll launch soon something that can interest indie hackers and I'll follow your guidelines, let's see :D
😀 It's so refreshing to have a creator regularly reference all this context like their beginnings, struggles, progression, thought-process, growing following and externalities like luck, alluding to how all of this plays into current success and not pretend as if they just are that good, no matter what. 🙄 Worst offense to me is, when they like to forget the reach that they (commendably, absolutely!) built and then be like "validate with just a stripe link (to the massive audience, that you don't have)". 🙌 So, massive compliment, monsieur!
Hey Marc, thanks for your precious insights, as always. Keep up the great work. You convinced me to start shipping. I hope I can grow as a solopreneur in the next months, following your best practices. 🚀 🇫🇷

Real question: is it possible to launch a successfull product if you dont use twitter, are not part of some online community, don't have an audience these days? I like building stuff but really hate social media and having to grow an "online presence"...
I love your videos but since your market is developers, you have a biais toward launching on producthunt and twitter, while most solopreneurs really shouldn't focus on these things. Maybe you could interview other solopreneurs so we could learn other ways?
Things like cold email, affiliates, influencer marketing, ads... are way more valuable than building a twitter audience if your clients are not devs (which is the case for most of us)
@@marc-lou You're right, but still I think these are both very niche distribution platforms that are quite overrated among us startup founders because that is where we hang out
There’s other people who talk about those marketing channels. This is what worked for him so this is what he knows about. If he finds a new channel I’m sure he’ll share it
What type of websites can be submited to PH? I have an idea for something that can be described as an interactive 3D world and I think it could fit in the "Social & Community" category, but I'm not sure.
Bonjour marc!!! J' ai un diplôme en MBA mais il ne me sert presqu' à rien. J' aimerais vous demander si les SAAS rapportent beaucoup d'argent pour que je puisse m'y lancer.
I have never sold anything online before, but I have a few questions. Is it possible to sell a SaaS product using Stripe or another payment provider without having a bank account? I want customers to pay in US dollars but prefer to receive payments in cryptocurrency, is that feasible?

Most important thing: a strong social media presence
Exactly
But hey, does it mean presence in my audience group or just any audience is ok?

Product Hunt & Twitter aren't for devs really.
There's a big community of designer, agencies, ecom etc.

Thanks for this video !!
How do you find testimonials before launching a product ?
Bonjour marc!!! J' ai un diplôme en MBA mais il ne me sert presqu' à rien. J' aimerais vous demander si les SAAS rapportent beaucoup d'argent pour que je puisse m'y lancer.
What's more, after product hunt and hacker news, these are just one-day shows.
How can we keep attracting new visitors to the product?
Incredible advices like always! ;)
How to start from scratch? Requesting to make a video of full guideline.

He literally said it in the video

It is my belief that individuals of French nationality afflicted with yellow fever present significant challenges
