I can’t imagine anyone connected with Luton expected to see a season like this. Like many I saw the squad good enough to compete again after the performance last season at a higher level. The mistake the board made was not changing the manager earlier. By not reacting quick enough I think we missed out on the best candidate in Mark Robins. Hopefully we can get some form and the results together to avoid relegation and look to rebuild the squad in the summer.
The Board have stood their moral ground in the summer, rightly in my mind, not to pay these unlicensed fixer agents who demand a huge fee when they are not involved in the negotiations. The Board refused to pay them as well as the licensed players agents. This cost them some good business in the summer. Unfortunately the football authorities have not stamped on this. Luton have been so badly treated by the authorities in the past that the Board refused to play the game. If you want to blame anyone blame the authorities not The Board for standing their ground and keeping Luton on the higher moral ground.
Whilst I totally agree with what you've said here, this is football nowadays unfortunately. It's all about the money and greed and nothing else. I admire the board for not paying these fees in the past, but if we want to compete, we have no choice. The situation we are in now has probably added to those fees as we all now we are desperate for quality reinforcements right now
To be in the game, you have to play the game, sometimes we have to think above the line and others under the line. But, the stadium has definitely taken Gary's eye off the day job, no to ways about it. I don't want to diminish what they have done, because without them, we would not have a club. BUT, that is not too sat they are above learning, so, whoever though Walsh, Baptiste or Krauss could fill Barkley's boots are lemons, the game simply flowed with him, everything good about our performances last year were conducted to him, have we got someone in that mold, no we then we need one............super Tom Lockyear, Captain & inspirer, did we bring a leader in while he is out injured or do we have one in a similar ilk, no, let's go get one but we didn't. So we blame agents ............not their fault, it's our fault, it's the club's fault, and in that, it's the CEOs fault. I don't boo, I don't abuse, I go home & away, but my opinion is above COYMFRRH's 🎩🎩🎩🧡🧡🧡 (We always live & learn, let's just get on with the day job, hire someone to do the stadium stuff)
Players should be ashamed of themselves, they’ve downed tools. Time to be ruthless, get rid of the constantly injured players, Baptiste, Anderson and unfortunately Burke. Those not performing Clark for example he’s had 2 good games in over a year. Recruitment has been awful and this needs to change. Who do we think we are that we don’t have to deal with agents who in the boards opinion are greedy. Every other club is recruiting but we are always fishing in the bargain basement. Director of football and premier league loans needed asap.
We.need to seperate the development from the football. Bring in a director of football, and allow the board and sweet to concentrate on the ground development.
Positivity for the sake of it is the height of stupidity. The transfer/loan strategy, if you can call it that, has been abysmal and not embedded in the real world. The Board have got themselves and the club in a right mess by not taking the opportunity of being in the Prem. In fact, somehow, they’ve turned it into a disaster.
We need to get rid of the, "Do you need a hug" WOKE culture Edwards adopted > BOO HOO BRIGADE.. More aggression, positive creativity, tougher, more 'die for Luton' approach with the players, they need a few rugby games over the 18 day break to 'man up;.......MORE FIGHT.
It is always the Board in my opinion as, if an Orchestra plays badly and can't maintain the beat then it's the Conductors fault not the individual musicians. I think that Gary Sweet was seduced by the media attention when we were in the Prem and thought he was better than he really is. He has become arrogant and aloof and not transparent. We need to separate those that can manage building projects and those that can manage football teams. I have pleaded for a Director of Football for months and see Pleaty as the classic person that could do that for us or Paul Hart who I rate very highly.
100% Peter. Gary Sweet is behind all this. His focus is purely on Power Court and how he'll be remembered as our messiah. His best interests are for himself not the club!
@WheretheHattersWalk so many from the non League days. What about Garry Richards who never played a game. Anthony Charles, 8 games, each of them horrible. Alan White (second time) and the amazing Kent Karlsen
Edwards should of gone last season, we happy clapped our way back to the championship, but the board ultimately need to take responsibility for the decline. we had more than a fighting chance in Jan of staying up and we bring in Hashi who would struggle in Lg 1. But GS is taking his 1.3m a year regardless of what division we play in next season. I agree with Lewis i think were down, Edwards managed to destroy everything he inherited
As a Rovers fan I think after the cash you are splashing this week you will be absoultely fine guys - Derby and Plymouth are goners for us

I totally agree. That hug mentality attitude wont get you out of the Championship.
Do you even know what woke means? You've been watching GB news too much

Hashi and Andersen in worst team ever... you lot are truly clueless. Thank you for wasting my time.
