- For this episode of our Viewer's cars series, we’re off to Norfolk in the UK and a lovely MGB roadster owned by fine artist Gerard Stamp that's been in his family from new in the 1960s. It really is a work of art!
CORRECTION: Gerard has pointed out my mistake in the video. Rosse and Alice lived in Herefordshire not Hertfordshire! Apologies to all.
Great story...well done all
Thanks for your comment - much appreciated!
Greetings from downunder nice to see another B lovingly cared for. I've owned 10 MGs including 3 B roadsters and 4 BGTs over the past 55 years and currently drive a snowberry white C roadster
Thanks for your comment - I do wish we had your weather so we could get out in our MGs more :-)
@@ClassicMGB it's always "top down" driving weather here, winter temps average 20 daily 👍
Thank's Graham for all these very interesting and nice videos. Cheers from Switzerland !
Many thanks for your comment - hello Switzerland!
Thank you Graham for the great Classic MGB videos!😃
Thanks for your comment David - always appreciated!
The fogs in the grille gives it a lovely individual look, well kept and loved by the family obviously.
Thanks for your comment - couldn't agree more!
Many thanks again Graham, a lovely video. I'm looking forward to getting the car out of the garage once again - please stop the rain!
No problem Gerard - if I could change the weather, believe me I would!
You ALWAYS have the best videos!🚗
Thanks so much for your kind comment - always apprecaited!
It’s a lovely car , I love white cars with red interiors 👍
Thanks for your comment - me too!
Great video and presentation.
Thanks for your comment - much appreciated!
A Beauty! Seems to have plenty of ground clearance too...mine was a bit lower.
Thanks for your comment - truly a lovely car!
Another great video Graham, thanks! I love that you're showcasing viewers cars. I have a 1974.5 roadster that I'd love to have you cover if you're interested - right now it's in my garage waiting for a fuel pump to be installed, we're in the middle of winter here in Canada so I haven't been feeling rushed to install it. EDIT: I wrote this before the video was over.....I'll see about getting some pics and send you details to the email address you list. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your comment - looking forward to receiving some photos and the story!
Excellent car, excellent presentation.
I like the fog lights in the grill and leather wrapped steering wheel.
I am envious of the solid steel wheels and caps.
Clever to put a proper crank through the bumper ?
I note, looks like an overdrive switch. Alas, no cigar lighter.
Is that a fuel filler on the right rear wing ?
Also note there is no jack socket under the rockers. Good move , the jacks are trash.
I have visited his web site many times for art and for the videos. A Must see.
Thanks for your comment. Do you have contact details for Gerard to answer your questions? If not, I'll pass them on to him...
@@ClassicMGB Lok at the right rear wing at :27 ... Looks like a fuel cap to me.
Sonce it was restored, I am wondering if the cap and filler tube were relocated back to their original position.
I believe I can contact him via his web site. Thanks.
@@jeffhildreth9244 Hello Jeff, yes, I think Uncle Rosse put in a much larger fuel tank during the years they were towing the caravan, and I presume that is why the fuel filler was relocated. He moved it back again some time later though, it's not something I had altered
@@GerardStamp Good Morning Gerard, As suspected, there had to be a reason for the Filler relocation.
Caravan towed by an MGB.. love it.
I very much enjoy your art and the You Tube Channel videos.
Thanks from Oregon USA.
How many miles are on the car?
Thanks for your comment - I don't know how many miles are on the car... I'll drop Gerard an e-mail to see if I can find out...
I’m afraid I have no way on knowing: the current indicated mileage is 56000, but as my uncle unfortunately didn’t keep the MOT certificates I have no idea how many times it’s been around the clock. I would estimate at least twice!
