Great overview of the 2 masts, love the unbiased look between yours and the other one. Looks like it might be a great option for tossing in a backpack or taking on travels. 73!
Looks like an excellent value. I'll definitely keep it in mind when the inevitable day comes around and I have to replace the squid pole I currently use. Any chance of a 30ft version someday?
Great question. my manufacturer did not feel comfortable getting the 10m version down to the size I was hoping for. Additionally, the financial investment of the 6m version is still unrecovered. At this point, I would say not at this time, but that will probably be re evaluated down the road. Have a good one.
The size and weight of the LD6 is a good compromise for a portable mast. I use mine with my 20 meter single band in a sloper configuration and it gets out pretty good. What I like about the mast is the tip is strong. For its size it can be used as a sloper or an inverted vee. With a 40 meter wire it’s great for NVIS coms.
Thanks much. I would like to get on a beach and try a 160m dipole. That may be a thing for when it gets warmer. Glad to see you enjoying it, and thank you.
Haha, no need to be sorry. If you have that issue, just unscrew the cap slightly. It MAY let out air. I was going to design a new bottom cap with a hole and a s biner clip. Maybe today, if i get my stuff done early
Your unbiased analysis and objectivity regarding your own product is impressive and VERY refreshing.
Thank You for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
Received my LD6 on Friday (11/8).I have used it twice and am very impressed. Thanks Dude!
Thank You, enjoy!
Ordered it yesterday. Have a Sotabeams 6m Tactical Mini and ordered this to get higher. Cannot wait until it comes and to try it out.
Oops, wrong video. Ordered the POTA33 from the other video.

Definitely ! Next time you are around, I'll show you both, if you'd like.
Dude, the real test would be in the field, in Ulm, MT! You need to revisit and do some testing!
One of these days. But I know GF winters....And I am NOT about to do that again :D Summer really is perfect out there

The Explorer Mast is ribbed for her pleasure.
Sorry I had to.
I have had issues collapsing my POTA 20 because of how airtight the mast is.
Haha, no need to be sorry.

Carbon fibre is a no no. Always use fiber glass poles. Carbon attenuates rf.
Oh, okay. Thanks much.
