Train on the way back from Mallaig in reverse. Its a bonnie spot out there, i live close by and it still makes me smile when i drive through Loch nan umah Viaduct on my occasional trip to Mallaig for fish and chips. ( Jaffys chippy at the station is best)
What a magical location this is, and the sunshine just elevates everything too. Moments like that can live in the memory for a lifetime. Well done and thanks for sharing it with us Gregor!
You can see on the aerial image the bothy is one of a dozen relic homesteads in a row. The traces of cultivation terraces or runriggs and peat diggings are also visible. The lost community of Peanmeanach. But it's good that people still come to stay awhile, like yourself, to seek out and savour the views and smell of woodland and the sea airs. Such a pleasure to share with us😊
That was a nice walk thru pretty regenerating forest , with the track in good order, which should put it withing every ones capabilities Very scenic all the way, and a great camp spot, what more could a Sottish lad want? lol Great video Gregor, keep them coming
Smashing, absolutely love your videos great to see all these places & get inspiration. Keep up the amazing work, your love of the outdoors is to be commended. Amazing 😊
Beauty!! So calming , we love watching your videos!! Who cares bout a Bothy when have the lovely beach and hear the water splashing while sleeping!! TRAIN amazing capture!! Careful of them ticks now!! Thanks for another lovely adventure, until the next!!😁🌈♥
Beautiful!! Love the video as always man. Keep going and sharing your adventures with us. Yet another peaceful and chill video with beautiful views and weather
That steam train was perfect timing. You haven't had the best of luck with bothies lately 😆 but the tent was definitely the best option on a night like that. Haven't seen anything on that peninsula before, absolutely stunning in those conditions.
Wow Gregor, you certainly do seek out the best spots, absolutely stunning mate. What a peninsular, and what a pitch. I can’t believe you got there and there was another 6 people in such a remote spot. Can people not just leave you alone! 🤣 All the best mate 😀⛰🥾🏕️
Gregor, I think the Scottish tourist board would benefit greatly by sponsoring you mate. Another great video but a little concerned about the pot noodle consumption 😂
A rare day of summer, lucky you! Yes: that was pretty amazing, catching 'The Jacobite' at that bridge. And, as good things come in threes, that beautiful campsite with the bonus sunset. I don't think there's anybody I'd rather have them right now - you work hard, after all. As for the bothy, wasn't it attracting a lot of the wrong sort, who arrive en masse for a wild party, trash the place and leave their rubbish strewn everywhere? I'm afraid that publication of books like of "The Bothy Bible," revealing locations that should only be known to those using them for their intended purposes, achieve the exact opposite of what they intend. Really, the only ones that are safe are those further away than such folks are willing or able to walk to. Long may that remain so, for at least you'll get to stay in them...
Yeah, was going to say exactly the same. The bothy bible brought in a lot of people who weren't your usual bothy users and it was getting trashed. That book caused a lot of harm. A lot of people forget that the MBA maintains bothies owned by estates etc on their behalf. If they get trashed the owners lock them up.

What a place indeed! Nice outro. Rum in the distance looks interesting. Maybe next summer it would be a great place to explore.
Yeh I’ll need to visit at some point😊
Cracking views of Eigg and Rum special places and the Rhois Bheinn ridge which I did a few years ago brilliant footage cheers Andy
Will have to check them out at some point 😊

Great video, Egg and Rum makes a nice holiday punch. 🎉could be eggnog.
They are ( or at least, were) known as the cocktail isles.

Great video! I think I found on Google maps where you were. Are there some ruins next to the Bothy and if so what were they?
Yeh there are some ruins of an old settlement. Not sure when it was last inhabited
`Peanamenach used to be a MBA bothy. It was closed due to misuse the owner,s specifically blaming the Bothy Bible book for increased usage etc.
Like your videos so much you should do a paetron subscription buddy
Thanks man, I’ll maybe have to set one up in the future 😊
£40 a night in a bothy...!
