  • This is our first game in this week's tournament. We've finally found our feet in the new meta and It's all good fun. Tourney games are what I really enjoy, when everyone's giving it their all! Here we get to see a spectacular Rhino fail, but will it sink us? Lets see how it goes!
Hope you enjoy watching as always. Anything you think I've done wrong or could do better please let me know, I'm always looking to improve both my gameplay and the video quality. Suspect there's quite a few epic fails here!

Thanks dude, hope you have fun finding your feet and figuring out a style that works for you! One day you'll be battling me in the weekly tournaments! Remember what I do might not work at different MMRs just try and focus on countering what units your opponent plays in the strongest way possible before they get too many levels. Good luck!

Are the tournaments multi-stage events? A match a week? How do they work?

There are tournaments in the three servers (Asia, Europe and the Americas) on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Anyone can enter any tournament no matter where you are, but the start times are designed to suit playing from roughly those time zones. The Saturday tournament is the big one, with 100+ people in each group, while Wednesdays are called Mini tournaments with more groups but only 16 people in each one.
Tournaments are pretty simple, they run until there is only one unbeaten player left. So on weekends it's 6 games and on Wednesdays it's normally only 4 games. People can dip out after they lose if they want, because they know they can't win any more - but I enjoy playing til the end to see if I can get second place. Match making tried to pair players of similar skill with similar wins (so players who are 1-1 will normally play other players who are 1-1 unless there's an odd number). Hope that helps!

Mecha is on sale rn, is it worth grabbing or better wait till they revert the changes(from what I can see major part of the community dislikes it)

I'm really enjoying it but the decision has to be yours to make! You know what games you enjoy and if the value is worth it to you. I think it's a great game overall and I'm happy with the work the devs have been doing. People always struggle with change and it was a pretty big one recently when they added the free units. But they've toned down the change, reducing the value of them and lowered the levels of problematic units like Hackers and Wasps.
Personally I like the change because games don't feel unwinnable so often now. You can always hope for a good counter in the free cards if you're struggling. Before sometimes you'd fall behind early and never stand a chance for the rest of the game. Plus it encourages people to branch out and try new units rather than falling back on the same strats every game. Hope some of that helps!

Oh man! You never forget moments like these. I still get flash backs every time I mobile beacon a Rhino in from the flank! Was a good lesson for me, glad it didn't cost me quite as much as it sounds like it cost you.

@@Drone_101 Literally just played another rhino spec game today and remembered to just beacon it to the one tower rather than getting greedy ;)
