I am about ready to redo my drivers seat. Just a thought. Instead of sharping the clips and pushing them through the straps. It might be easier to take an appropriate size piece of metal rod, wire, what ever and use a propane torch to heat up the end to burn a hole through the strap. This would be fast and also singe the strap fabric to prevent it unravelling.
That's a good plan for one side, but pulling the other side tight required the sharp clip on the second side. I didn't find that the material unraveled with the straps I used.
Thanks. Just trying to stem the flow of cash into this car by fixing some less visible things in a cheap (but sound) way. It feels like this might be the most expensive Midget ever at this point. Better not to add it all up and just enjoy.
