Aw, Bea...I would love to see more bits of your daily life, I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we enjoy "little snippets " as much as longer sequences. I'd rather have more footage of you doing lots of different stuff, even if you only show a minute of each. I really enjoyed the yard sale bit in this video❤ or how your family came to visit and hold the chicken babies 🥰 Love it. Sometimes I wish I was your neighbour and we could hang out 🤗😄
Next year garden idea...thrift stores or yard sale old windows and make a small greenhouse. You have semi experience with building the chicken coop. Then your seedlings can live there. Love your videos!
I grew up with chickens and they are the epitome of trying to keep stupid alive. But they're my favorite farm animal and a lot of fun. You're doing an awesome job ❤
You holding your hand in an arch form waiting for chicks to slide under is the cutest thing ever!! Gosh the world needs more content like this and more people like you.
I rarely comment on anyone’s channel but I just have to say you made my day….I was having a hard time and your footage of the baby chicks just raised my spirits!! Thanks a big bunch!!😎
The tapping was a nice training thing! When I pass out treats or give food I tell my girls "chick, chick, chick" anytime I'm needing them to come or pay attention. The whole flock as adults now immediately come to me if I say it! It's helpful for times when I need quick recall - like if I saw a predator or if I need to leave the house.
Chickens are the gateway drug !! Before you know it you’ll be on 155 acres with 2 milk cows, a half acre of garden, chickens, horses, you name it. Ask me how I know this! 😂❤
omg! thank you for putting the camera down in there with them!!!! my eyes damn near popped out of my head from the cuteness of it all!!!! good job keeping them alive mama!
When I fell in love with gardening I didn't realize how much room I would need. With the cost of soil, seeds, containers, etc and space for them. I just bought already started plants when it was warm enough the next year. Same price. Less hassle. Good luck with the chicks. So stinking cute ❤
I'm on my 3rd year of chickens and I hatch out my own chicks each year. Year 3 and your list of what can go wrong with chicks terrified me and made me amazed I've kept a dang thing alive all this time. You're a great chickie Mama!
Baby chicks are so cute. Where I live chickens just roam wild, you see them in town, around the neighbourhood, parking lots. They sleep in trees. Before we let our dogs out in the daytime we always have to do a chicken check in the yard because there have been too many occasions where we have had to try and save a chicken from them and sadly sometimes we were too late. A month ago one hen decided to make a nest in one of our plants so we had to guard her for weeks until her eggs hatched and she finally could leave. If you have space in your yard or home you can make a designated workshop space for your hobbies.
I had to say goodbye to my buff Orpington yesterday. Her name was Buffy and she was 8, which is old for a chicken. She was such a chicken diva. I'm sure you will enjoy your Buffies! ❤
They are so adorable! We had chicks and rabbits years ago. I have to tell you that you are my favorite channel of them all. You are so funny and have a great laugh. I'm always amazed how you can struggle with all the feelings etc., and yet you remodel homes and build chicken clips. AMAZING 😊
Oh goodness, the chicks! 🤩🤩🤩I miss our birds. My ex and I used to have Guinea fowl, quail, and a variety of chickens! Yep, when they’re little they require a lot of attention but it is so worth the time when they get bigger! Precious birds 🥰 Love your little homestead, it’s coming along! ✌🏼 and ❤️ from Texas.
I gotta say your overall dimeanor is you are HAPPIER!! Even though you and Stevie are living together and settled in to that life, I think he is a big part of it. Them baby chicks are the cutest!!!
I like to call any period of time in my life that involves renovations or projects such as coops etc, “sweatpant mode”. Get up, put hair in bun, sweatpants on, and go. The whole house goes to pot while in that mode but it’s necessary to get the projects done. You’re doing great and as always inspiring!
You'll be checking chicken butts forever!! I have lazy poopers and have to check them often. Sometimes giving them baths and clipping feathers to clean up poop. Lol!
So I bought a five shelf unit from Target for my plant starts. I hang lights from each shelf for the one below and have heat mats for the plants that need it. It works pretty well.
"Got chickens in the living room" LOL - Am I the only one who got a voice over in their head of Snoop singing Gin N Juice? The line about chicks in the living room? :-)
I love hoe you're teaching them not to fear your hands. and THANK YOU for making those roost bars low! I see so many people with high roost bars and their chickens either can't get up to them, or injure themselves jumping down. I have over 50 chickens and 20 guineas (don't get guineas because they range up to 50 acres eating ticks). FYI, I have never had my chicks eat their bedding, and I don't ever put marbles in their water feeder, you only need those if you are watering them from an open pan. Just watch them to see if they are sunburning (move their heat lamp up) or shivering lower it down). The only thing I've ever had chicks die from is them not being able to find the water, so if you hear them chirping really loudly, re-dip those beaks. My suggestion for "next year" is to build a shed (what I call my Bitch Barn) next to my chicken coop where I have shelves for seedlings and a Brooder for baby chickens before they go into the coop.
Who knew that having baby chicks was so complicated ?🌻They are super cute though🐥You guys did so great on the chicken coop. I'm in awe of your creativity Bea❤Enjoy your little babies they will grow incredibly fast❤🐣🐤🐥
I have a small 4 shelf greenhouse in my living room that I'm using for seed starters. I spent like 45$, best thing ive done for starters. Lots of vertical space!
We got our first baby chicks when I was about 15. They were our babies 😂 my sister and I were homeschooled so we would spend hours outside with them and they were so comfortable with us. There is definitely a learning curve with them but they are pretty simple animals. It's cool to see them develop and their little personalities come out.
chikees are adorable. And also please get over not using short footage, I honestly miss your longer videos (like 20-30min), these 10-15min once a week just leave me wanting mooorrrrreeee (perhaps that is intentional haha). But either way, love ya Bea
And so it begins.. chickens are just the gateway drug! Soon you’ll have ducks and geese and who knows haha. Welcome to the world of homesteading :) you did a great job with the coop! I myself decided to go with ducks and geese after initially being interested in and researching chickens.. they are messier but in some ways but hardier and also less maintenance than chickens and the eggs have a little better nutritional value. I do still want chickens though… excited to follow your journey!
The loop with sprigs out is my go to hair style and I laughed so hard as i knew EXACTLY what you meant. I also WFH too so maybe thats why lol Living vicariously through / love the chicky babies 😍
Also... i think you might like this prefab greenhouse kit I saw at Costco the other day for your plant stuff for next year. I thought it was reasonably priced. I'm not prepared to move it with an infant...so I haven't bought one for myself..... but if I wasn't planning a move in the next 2 years then I might get it if my husband was on board with the idea lol because I also accidentally take over large areas of the house with plants each year.
MATE YES I freaking love having chickens, grew up in the UK countryside and we always had anywhere from 10-100 chickens and buff orpingtons are honestly great! I have so many chicken tips and tricks but I know you've done your research so I won't dump them on you unasked for lmao
Hey Bea! I am not sure if this is helpful information, but I have seen that a lot of chicken owners have painted the mesh on their coops black so that it is visible to see inside from a distance. Might be helpful for when your inside 🤷🏼♀️ you're doing fantastic! Keep going!
I can't tell if those are real chickies or wind up toys 😁Also, I think my motto now is 'better solutions are not this year's problem.' Thanks Bea! Looking real badass climbing ladders and screwing down some flashing 💛
Awwww, the cute lil baby chickies! Too cute. Also, I have that same art portfolio, and after abusing it at college for a few years, its still in great condition and holds up super well. That thing will last you for literal decades, nice score!
Hey Beatrice 🙂. I'm so excited for you and your chicken project. We always had chickens growing up but I'm not allowed to keep them in my current house. I wondered about your covered run. From memory (and because I have a parakeet) birds need wetness on their feathers to stay healthy. I spray my indoor bird and give him baths to jump into for that reason. Will your chickens have some time uncovered in their run to get sunshine for vitamin D and to experience rain on their feathers? Maybe you have another plan. I do want to get chickens again when I move 🙂
I love how Chettie was not phased by a whole ass box of birds coming in the house 😂😂😸
2 dogs, 4 Guinea pigs, 1 cat, 1 Stevie, and 15 chicks
You’re living my dream life rn
😂
I just wanna say PLEASE share all the little “ in between time” short clips too! They are what make up some of the most special moments ❤
Yes! I was gonna say just make a clip video of all the random moments. I would watch 😂
Sometimes I wish I was your neighbour and we could hang out 🤗😄
Same here
Same
I really like B's video's the way they are❤
My thoughts exactly!! ❤
Yep!!
Next year garden idea...thrift stores or yard sale old windows and make a small greenhouse. You have semi experience with building the chicken coop. Then your seedlings can live there. Love your videos!
*just be careful which windows you get, some older ones have lead or lead paint in them and the dust or paint chips produced from them are toxic
I’ve seen some really cool Frankenstein-d sheds and greenhouses!
Why are baby chicks the cutest things ever?! They are like little loud yellow balls of adorable. 🥺🥰
We have had about 80ish chickens since 2019. We have lost 4 or 5 in that time. I feel like they really are not as difficult as the internet shares. ❤
I agree. They’re very hardy.
I agree. I’ve raised many chickens and never did any of the things her research suggested lol
I do the same thing with my chickens! Here, chick chick chick! And they all come running in their beady-eyed waddle way! So cute.
We did this too such an easy training
Even day old chicks will come when you call "chick chick chick" in a high pitch because it's similar to a mama hen noise 😊
Look at all the little fluff nuggets they are adorable!
I'm only 2 minutes and can't stop laughing at the $10 for shopping for "dead people tchotchkes". I can't even 🤣🤣🤣🤣
are you cooking chicken in the same room with a bunch of...*checks note*... baby chickens in the same room?
Hi Bea 🤗 Love ya sweetie and all you do for your animal babies. WOW I’ve learned so much about chicks. I had no idea! 🤷🏽♀️ thanks Bea 🥰
When I fell in love with gardening I didn't realize how much room I would need. With the cost of soil, seeds, containers, etc and space for them. I just bought already started plants when it was warm enough the next year. Same price. Less hassle. Good luck with the chicks. So stinking cute ❤
Just throwing it out there… ASMR baby chick feed… then when they start to play! So cute! And swings. Definitely swings.
I'm on my 3rd year of chickens and I hatch out my own chicks each year. Year 3 and your list of what can go wrong with chicks terrified me and made me amazed I've kept a dang thing alive all this time. You're a great chickie Mama!
That was fun to watch - yes, absolutely include little snippets - thank you for making me smile today.
My 9-month-old daughter loved the baby chicken footage! She got all excited. They are so cute!
Baby chicks 🐤 sooooo darn cute!!!
The squad is looking fabulous!!!

Aw those chicks are so cute 🐥 I hope they all continue to be ok..and that yard sale looked amazing, you definitely got some great bargains there 😻
I had to say goodbye to my buff Orpington yesterday. Her name was Buffy and she was 8, which is old for a chicken. She was such a chicken diva. I'm sure you will enjoy your Buffies! ❤
I'm sorry for your loss.
Sweet Dreams, Buffy

“My Ghost Foundation.” 👻 😂 So relatable.
The baby chicks are so cute!!! Thank you for sharing them!!!💕🐣

I think I see a green house in your future projects.

Babiiiiiies!!!! 😭😭😭😭 they’re beautiful!! You’re gonna be such a good human they look like they already love you!
When they are ready for it, I highly suggest giving the chickies meal worms as treats, they love the live ones!
omg these chicks are so sweet! I'm sitting at my computer giggling and smiling like a fool. Their little tweets *cries*
OMG the chicks are cuter the guinea pigs ! Soooooo jealous
"Got chickens in the living room" LOL - Am I the only one who got a voice over in their head of Snoop singing Gin N Juice? The line about chicks in the living room? :-)
Add those small clips B😊 every bit of time spent watching you adds sunshine to my day 🥰
The 🐥 chicks are so dang adorable 🥰
As for the seeds a second-hand or prefab greenhouse might be a solution for your plant babies 🌱🪴
I love hoe you're teaching them not to fear your hands. and THANK YOU for making those roost bars low! Bea: *mentions seedling operation* .... Me, looking over at my 3 tables worth of indoor garden. O.o
You could always build a backyard greenhouse for next season....or....buy one.
Two seconds or 1 hour of your videos Bea…Make my day😃 thank you for all you share! 🌟💕
Chicks so lucky to have you as their owner. You are so kind and care a lot for all living things 💗💗💗💗
How could anyone eat chicken after seeing these babies? Omg they're too cute 🩷🩷
give us a plant starts update! everything looks so good and as always I am blown away by how much you accomplish!
Hi Bea!
I'm so impressed. You are doing your life! You look so happy. 🎉❤
Who knew that having baby chicks was so complicated ?🌻They are super cute though🐥You guys did so great on the chicken coop. I'm in awe of your creativity Bea❤Enjoy your little babies they will grow incredibly fast❤🐣🐤🐥

Pro chicken mom!!!!!!! Excellent job! They are SOoo cute!!!
We got a metal bookshelves for our seed starting and the grow lights attach to the metal.
We got our first baby chicks when I was about 15. They were our babies 😂 my sister and I were homeschooled so we would spend hours outside with them and they were so comfortable with us. There is definitely a learning curve with them but they are pretty simple animals. It's cool to see them develop and their little personalities come out.

I literally just went aww aww aww the whole time you were showing us the chicks x
I love your mum. She's so precious.

Bea, I love your videos so much! Any video, short or long is so much fun to watch! And your chicks are adorable!
The chicks are so adorable.
My Buff Orpington was my fave and ahe loved to sit on my lap and take a nap.
All I can say is WOW! That is a lot, but you are doing it. I am so proud of what you are accomplishing.
I had a small panic attack at the yard sale, looks like my MIL’s house yikes
And so it begins.. chickens are just the gateway drug! Soon you’ll have ducks and geese and who knows haha. Welcome to the world of homesteading :) you did a great job with the coop! 5 minutes of filming from you is better than nothing in my opinion xx
Thanks for sharing your happy little chicks with us😁😁😁
Dear dog, they're cute.
The loop with sprigs out is my go to hair style and I laughed so hard as i knew EXACTLY what you meant. I also WFH too so maybe thats why lol
Living vicariously through / love the chicky babies 😍
Chicks are so cute 😍🐥🐥🐥
We got 15 buff Orpingtons last year. I just love them.

So excited for chickens lol. Way too much work for me but they’re so cute!
Loving the footage of all the little bits from your life🙃 also those chicks are so adorable!
Good on you for sharing your chick footage! I adore them. You are such a good pet owner! 🥰

Birds in general make me uncomfortable, but those chickens are kinda cute
You need a greenhouse next year. Yes, get one or build one. :)
mum looks so pretty ❤️❤️❤ and very excited to see your baby chicks 🐥🐥
You should make a "Friday Night Bits n Pieces" video!! Throw all those clips in so they don't go to waste. 😂😊
The chicks 🐥 are soooooo cute!
Chickens are so much fun. I had some growing up. ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed my completely para social relationship with you. You have gotten me through the pandemic and even now. I love following you!
I feel like you found your perfect match in Stevie! He seems to enjoy the same things you do and that is SUPER important!😃
This is the most fun age of chickens! My last batch of babies just turned 4 months and have started laying eggs this week!
Super proud of your accomplishment! Good luck with the chickies
You're little nuggets are SO sweet! Thank you for sharing with us 🥰
Awwww, the cute lil baby chickies! Too cute. Also, I have that same art portfolio, and after abusing it at college for a few years, its still in great condition and holds up super well. That thing will last you for literal decades, nice score!
Notification squad 🎉
Can’t wait to see their progress & thanks for the smile today ❤
Hey Beatrice 🙂. I'm so excited for you and your chicken project. We always had chickens growing up but I'm not allowed to keep them in my current house. I wondered about your covered run. 11:30 i really enjoy your videos, but i kind of dont get, how you can show the cutest baby chicken and eat chicken for dinmer. 😅 i could never!
If you are allowed get a rooster and a incubator to hatch your own chickens it’s so cool!!
Bea, I'm seriously amazed by all you can do. I can't put IKEA furniture together 😅
GREAT.....now I want chickens.......
