Camaro ZL1 1LE: New Personal Best!

Broke my personal best at Thunderhill in the ZL1 1LE by over a second!
6-cycle Nankang AR1 in stock sizes. 2021-12-17 private HOD track day, afternoon, mid-55 degrees Fahrenheit. PTM Race, half tank of gas, no passenger.

Dang! That's moving! I have a stock ZL1 1LE A10 and best time is 2:04 at TH. Taking 7 seconds off that time seems terrifying.

Nice work Mark! Funny, I was just there Saturday with my 2 oldest. Had them partake in the teen car control class. While there I thought, this is perfect weather for a PB!
Anyway, good job pushing. The most impressive to me was not lifting and the shear speed on t7. Moving!
Seems entirely a third and fourth affair. Do you not find any value grabbing second even on t11?

Thanks! My friend was actually there coaching the Saturday car control clinic. Hope it was fun and useful :)
I have used second gear at T11 before, but have found it hard to get enough grip at the exit. Third seems slower but more consistent for me. Maybe I'll give second another shot next time. On this lap I messed up T13 (wrong line and couldn't stay flat) and T14 (braked late and inconsistently, missed apex). Also will need to try fifth gear on the front straight for next time too. Maybe can do a 1:56? :)

Nice lap and good driving! What cold/hot pressures are you using with the AR-1?

Thanks! I think I was doing 27 'cold' and setting best laps around 32. Session end probably around. 34-35 psi.
There is definitely a lot more time to be had. I need to work on getting to full throttle sooner. The insane torque on this car still scares me :D
