hello! ✨ I hope you all loved this apartment shopping vlog! comment below your fav home essentials / places to shop for home stuff! PS. all items shown are linked in the description!
you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Gianni Colson Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Dollar tree has some surprisingly nice kitchen supplies like pasta strainers, measuring cups, spatulas etc! Cleaning supplies too like sponges, gloves, and scrub brushes!
Yea Nd some of them have actual decent towels Nd wash clothes that don’t scratch tf outta ur skin. Not to mention actually have a couple decent home decorations
I’ve been collecting little like “future moving out” decor for years, I strongly suggest for anyone in the comments to prepare over time so that when you officially move its not so overwhelming
You should totally do a thrift with me for apartment decor. When I moved out I was on a budget and I found so much awesome stuff at the thrift store. Salvation Army has the best sales as well.
When I moved out I got most of my cleaning supplies at the dollar tree and it saved me so much! And I would look for TVs at Sams Club if you have it or if your wholesale places sell TVs! I paid I think 1/3 of the price for a tv they had at Best Buy!
One of my favorite (and essential to me) things I always buy when moving to a new place is a panini press toaster. It's super useful because you can toast bread like a toaster should do, but do other things like toast sandwiches, and even potentially grill meat (although I never tried that). It's something that you normally live without, but once you own one, you cannot live without. I bought one for the apartment I shared with a flatmate, and she said her world was changed as she got obsessed with that thing.
Moving into an apartment is the hardest part bc you need the down payment and the first months rent, setting up wifi, getting a u-haul, etc. After thats all dealt with it gets easier! Me and my roommates have just been buying furniture slowly. We go halves on everything but luckily I live with people who don't care who gets what in the end edit: you got the same bath mat as me! I love it. It's cozy. It feels good on my feet when I sit on the toilet too lmaoo
Congratulations I’m so happy for you 🤍🤍 I’ve actually been watching your videos since forever and to see you get your first apartment is so wholesome I’m excited to see moving vlogs, hauls, apartment tour literally everything 😭
I moved into my first apartment back in feb so I was recently out doing exactly what you’re doing! One thing I still haven’t gotten is a coffee machine. I didnt want to spend the money on it... I kept saying “I’ll just go to Starbucks whenever I’m craving coffee” well at this point I should’ve just bought the coffee machine and I could have saved so much money 😂😂
I feel that!!! Tbh I never make coffee at home for that reason bc it never tastes as good so I feel like my $ is better spent getting it somewhere but then I end up going way to often.. 🤣 I’m looking into getting a nespresso bc I’ve heard great things, they are expensive tho! I’ve also heard French presses are good and they aren’t too expensive!? I’ll def show whatever coffee method I decide in a vlog!!
Save in increments so a venti is 5$ and some change put it in a jar or folder when your craving coffee to save until you have enough for a keurig or whatever maker you want. Walmart has it for cheap
honestly before you go to target for rugs, pillows, room decor I would maybe go to DD’s, Ross & TJ Max because their stuff is cheaper and you can sometimes find some really cute home decor
For anyone looking to move and is looking at apartments, Airtable is like the spreadsheet queen for this. Fill in the info you want then use the the gallery view. Kept me sane when every apartment and every floor plan started looking the same.
My favorite places to shop for home stuff is hobby lobby, kirklands, Tjmaxx, homegoods, and Target. I love my dyson stick vacuum sick it goes on all surfaces and I wish I would have organized my home with containers when I very first moved. Because now it is a pain. I recommend shopping at sam’s club for household essentials like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, laundry detergent and so on. When moving have an essentials box that you have on hand (keep it like in your passenger seat) fill it with batteries, light bulbs, scissors, hammer, nails, command strips, toilet paper, paper plates and plastic cups so you have things on hand when unpacking! Also label boxes for what room they belong in and number them. I made a Spreadsheet of what was in each box so if I needed something specific I knew what box to open. Sorry I know it’s a lot of info.
You can never go wrong with pyrex, of any kind, with lids. And a steam mop. And a rechargeable sweeper. And Corelle plates cause they are less likely to break.
A pan with a lid & pots with lids! When I first moved out I got random of those & soon realized I needed lids. Also I love my Roomba with having cats. Also, buy furniture with hidden storage too just for random stuff that you don’t need to keep looking nice 24/7.
Omg. I’ve been waiting for this video for so long. I’m so excited for you. When I moved out I loved shopping at tj maxx. They have the best cheap essentials. Also Walmart and target are great for cheaper essentials.
That tv was a steal. I got mine on Black Friday for $270. Same LG. Great for RUclips and Netflix in 4K, it has great colors too once you adjust the sharpness and contrast.
I found your video though an organisational video that a regular RUclipsr that I watch posted, and I've really enjoyed this vlog because I enjoy watching apartment shopping hauls and moving vlogs
Ok so I left have already so far.. cooking ware, cooking utensils, dinnerware, dining utensils, towels, rags, bath mat, bedside rug, knives, mixing bowls, shower curtain, like I'm getting there!!! I got so much more to go for one we need medicine incase of emergencies, we need a tool kit incase of emergencies... And again so much more even my gaming setup! First tips don't be afraid of none name brands they're your friend ok
The moment you pulled out the excel sheet I subscribed 😂 I’m also moving in October so buying similar things. This is super helpful 😁 Currently obsessed with Ikea, Target and Tjmaxx!
Marshall’s is my favorite place!! They have so much cute home decor and everything is always really cheap! In my opinion, I like it better than Tj Maxx!
I am obsessed with target but that can be pricey when you’re not catching a sale. I would recommend Marshall’s for decor , little home items, covers ect very decent prices. Ross, Five Below,Walmart possibly,? Big lots, dollar tree. But definitely the first three. I’ll be moving out on my own next week for the first time as well and those places have been the most beneficial
Omg yay! apartment shopping vlog so excited I've been waiting for this!! Congrats again💕😊, I loved the idea you have for your spread sheet will you be sharing the xcel spread sheet? Because def think it would be helpful
I want to move out and start my closet and stuff over SO BADD but there are a few problems- 1- I don’t have more than 80 dollars 2. I’m 13 3. I don’t think you can move out at 13 without a job 4. I have no friends or people to help
Are u going to take all your new things that you bought for your bedroom to your new apartment? Or are you going to leave all those things at your parents house
I’m taking them with me and then my old furniture (the vintage pieces) will stay in my room at my parents house! (we are just storing them in the basement for now) ☺️
"I normally don't shop at Walmart" Every money waster ever lol .....I never understood that mindset, why would you pay double the price for something just to say you go it from Target etc? I think you finally shopping at Walmart shows that you are maturing and recognizing that saving matters more than what is trendy.
me binging all of these video & hearing about how expensive it is when I just got my first apartment and move in in two months and have no money saved lol

For home stuff, I love Target & Homegoods/TJ Maxx. Five Below has some cute rugs, pillows, blankets & Boho stuff.
Oooh thank you!! I didn’t even think of five below- I’ll def check it out!! 👀🙌🏼
you shouldn't be embarrassed to stop at Walmart lol. they have alot of the same stuff as target
Yea if you seriously think your better than walmart. That's a problem bc everyone goes there. 🤨😒
I cringed at that part of the video 👎🏼
It looked like she was embarrassed to shop at Walmart lol
You should totally do a thrift with me for apartment decor. When I moved out I was on a budget and I found so much awesome stuff at the thrift store. Salvation Army has the best sales as well.
Ooooh I love that idea !!!!! 🙌🏼 will def have to do that 👀 Thank you! My moms the queen of thrifting so I’ll take her with! Haha!
What I did was stock up on house stuff throughout the years so it’s cheaper to pick up the stuff that is remaining when you actually move out.
When I moved out I got most of my cleaning supplies at the dollar tree and it saved me so much! And I would look for TVs at Sams Club if you have it or if your wholesale places sell TVs! I paid I think 1/3 of the price for a tv they had at Best Buy!
Oooooh thank you!! Those are great suggestions 🙌🏼 I’ve been going to Costco quite a bit too , they have awesome deals!
If you’re looking for really nice stuff for discounted prices I would try stores like home goods, TJmaxx, Marshall’s and Ross!
Ooooh yes! I’ve been going to home goods so much- forgot to show it but love those ✨🙌🏼

I love how you actually bought stuff you need everyone else kinda just cares about aestheticness idk but ur getting another subscriber!😁
You should thrift, there are a lot of wicker baskets that would normally be $50-60 that you can get for $4-5

For unique dishware, I recommend Goodwill, other secondhand shops, or antique malls! My mom and I find gorgeous dishes from the 50's or 60's.

Dollar tree is gonna be my best friend.
I've never heard the phrase "saving back" until this moment. Where I'm from, we say "saving up"
