AND, it's nice to see a real film without the gloss of Hollywood: Scandinavian films aren't afraid to cast actors who REALLY have gray hair, age and lines on their face. It's refreshing AF.
And it's not just for male actors - female actors are allowed to age, too.
Not sure if any of the supporting cast speaks english but hoping they get their shot in hollywood after this film if thats what they want, all 3 other guys were truly spectacular

Easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's absolutely breathtaking, and actually a good depiction of the Danish alcohol standard.
We drink like crazy btw, when kids graduate from high school it's tradition to ride around in a party truck getting drunk three to four days in a row. Paradise on earth.

Agree, the trailer is so beautiful, you see the movie and the actors is really the same as in reality, the ending as he runs with his eyes closed is so amazing!
Just watched it today, this is a very sad and yet uplifting movie, I heard many people sobbing in the theater, and I were brought to tears more than once.
This was easily one of the best films I've ever seen.
Why were people sobbing and crying? People mostly laughed when i was in the cinema..
@@carl8444 there were also laughter and smiling.. But the overall tone of the movie were pretty depressing, which is why the ending were so impactful, a true inspiration.
Where are u from? In the danish cinema I was in people were mostly just laughing and thought it was a funny movie even tho I can see what the sad thing is (no spoilers) it didn’t feel like a sad movie. I agree that it was a fantastic movie and me and my mates went drinking straight after lol

Because it looks like it goes from light humor to a depresingly honest drama about how to deal with the boredoms of life. Looks amazing as always cant go wrong with mads and thomas. Milang was really funny in «Selvhenter» also

Cause nobody cares. I do not have any misconceptions that men are oppressed as an identity, but nobody really cares what men are thinking or about the intricacies of male psychology.

The Sopranos (Anthony Soprano) is a great example of a tv series focusing on the male lead character’s intricate psychological problems. It’s what drove the show and made it great. And he wasn’t some jacked, typical male pretty boy either. He was your typical, grown man that a lot of other men would relate to. So, The Sopranos is just one example of the fact that people do care about movies/tv series revolving around male psyche.
It's not new, but Fandango is one of the best, IMO.

The part where they got completely hammered in the office, and then went to the store, and then went fishing after was the funniest shit I have ever seen
I never heard of this film until I arrived at the cinemas today. I wasn't expecting much, but I ended up giving this film an 8.5 out of 10. Mads Mikkelsen is an acting genius. Don't be surprised if this film gets an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Film. It's very good. Do yourselves a favor and go and see it!
Mads Mikkelsen is one of the few actors, where I can watch any movie, and I will not regret it.

Just watched it on 15th. Loved it. Best movie Ive seen depicting realistic alcoholism. Hope the movie gets nominated for best foreign picture. Mads Mikkelsen did a terrific job as well as writer director Thomas Vinterberg.

Saw this the other night and really liked it. Great performances by the cast and Mads absolutely kills it with the final scene.
just saw it last week. truly a master piece, it shows the highs and lows of alcoholism, it's addiction. the positive effects in the beginning and than the hard downfall.. mikkelsen and every other actor were amazing

This film is a great combination of light fun & dark drama. The title fits it even better after watching; the obvious being about addiction to alcohol & not quite having enough AND in a sense it's also about trying another round in life.

I get drunk a lot, and have had some major good times.
In summary: this is a movie about micro dosing on drugs.
Now I think that the most common drinking problem is failing to carefully monitor your BAC like a Diabetic's blood sugar lol
I tried this experiment for about 10 years. Fortunately I still have my original liver. Glad to be done with it.

Kowning how to be balanced is so important, key thought after watching just the trailer.
