This guy is a true comedian; he dealt with drunk dickheads, consoled an audience member AND continued the humour. I have a lot to learn from you. Fantastic work, you rock.
The best part for me was after the fallout, when he was interacting with the blonde woman. He was doing crowd work and having a gentle go at her expense, but once he sensed she was feeling genuinely uncomfortable, he switched it immediately to making fun of the venue and then of himself. That’s better than comedy skills. That’s empathy skills. But he still got the laughs through it. I’m impressed.
It’s remarkable that someone can watch this and say “he wasn’t getting any laughs.” Just like sports fans who, even after watching replays from all angles in slow motion m, say their man committed no penalty...
Forget the sad twat who dashed a drink like a teenage girl at a keg party, that comedian handled it like an absolute pro. Fair play to him. More importantly he's very funny too.
Very well handled sir. You controlled the audience superbly. After the three men left you instantly broke the tension and continued the show. Well done fantastic work.
I was laughing at the little snippets of jokes we heard, and then the beer throw happened which for a short time had me seething, but a minute later I was back to having a good laugh at this guy's humour and wit, and ultimately enjoyed the video. That's how to do it. Absolute legend.
Andrew Doyle, you were amazing, so much respect for you. Glad we got to see the faces of the hecklers who embarrassed themselves not only in front of the audience but now in front of the World on RUclips.
You can see Andrew is a very strong character. Very confident. He was working hard but he dealt with the situation perfectly. What a natural, even when he reached the end of his long fuse. Respect👍
That woman was almost worse for the show than the drunk hecklers. It’s much harder to justifiably kick her out but she really dampened the potential humor and success of the show. I thought Doyle handled everything really well though.
if bigger man means he threw a tantrum "either you go, or i will stop" and holding the show (that was already paid for) a hostage - then sure, "bigger man'. But in my book he was a huge ass, especially with that guilt by association he pulled at 3:40 with " oh, you were a part of THAT group, you have to go too"
@@ArcturusAcerbic He exercised his authority. It's good to see. Your book is probably written by a liberal, hence you are driven to defend the drunkards and attack the winner. Libs always back the loser.

The inconsiderate man who threw the drink on his face does not understand the amount of effort and hard work that goes into artistic pursuits. I respect Andrew for handling it well. Much to learn from him
Some of the students I teach are basically delinquents. Trying to eject them from class when they go too far is almost exactly like this. Despite not participating in or actively damaging the class, when you tell them to leave they cling on to their chairs for dear life.
That was freaking beautiful. It really kind of blew my mind when he threw that in your face. I sincerely hope you get a chance to read this. I've done busking street performing for 25 years and that was incredible to watch what you just did. It didn't break your stride. Fantastic thank you for having this video online.
Great line after he ejected them about it actually being a set up to make the performance more exciting. Very well handled. The man who threw the drink in his face should be arrested for assault.
@@Jon-tt9bf I wouldn't go that far. For it's money, it's right up there but I wouldn't rank it compared to something like an old, valve Neumann U32. Having said that you could probably buy about 250 58's, for the price of one of those.
i like this guy, if he can keep his head straight when a tosser like that is in the audience he's definitely got the makings of a pro. not to mention hes pretty damn funny too
What an absolute fudging champion he is, handled it with perfection. Understood that people do get drunk at comedy events, gave them multiple kind warnings, got them to leave, consoled an upset audience member and then broke the tension with humour... that's the sign of a great comedian. Super241946 Why’s that? I reckon he was an excellent teacher. I’ve learned a lot about Critical Thinking just by listening to/ watching loads of his stuff on here.
The way that big hard man threw the drink over that little boy, he must be so proud of himself, bet his missus really notices the difference in the bed...
When you go to watch a show you're there to see someone perform. Fucking it up by shouting out punchlines and chatting through the whole thing not only makes it hard on the performer, but makes it a whole lot less enjoyable for the paying audience as well. If you can't contain yourself and just enjoy the show you have no business going. A little silly heckling is fine, but they took it too far, and were asked politely to stop well before being asked to leave. He handled it very well.

An Englishman in Scotland... when your Scotsman in Scotland then comment. He handled that extremely well, just listen to the response of the audience after he threw the drink. "How old are you?" they were acting like children doesn't matter if you were Scottish, English, Irish or those damn pesky Welsh. No one needs to take over-heckling like that.
as a resident of Edinburgh and regular Fringe attendee, on behalf of my fellow Edinburgers, please accept my apologies for the complete set of twats in the front row. made me cringe with embarrassment. the way you handled it was fantastic!
I've seen it where the comedian got the crowd to applaud to vote whether to kick the heckler out or not. That was crushing for the heckler it was case of see? No one wants you here.
Tough in a small venue, but I've seen comics handle that by going off script and just "going out to town" on humiliating hecklers - after 5 minutes of solid abuse with the whole audience laughing at their expense, you can then set out ground rules and say. Seriously though, iT's a small venue and I'd love to spend show in banter - but some ppl can't hear me now. It's a learning curve and you get rough audiences.

A quite insane audience member.

He handled those drunk idiots so well. Funniest was watching them leave with tails between their legs. Admire his stance so much
All he did was repeatedly ask them them to leave? Not exactly a fucking hero.
‘Hero’ is not a standard for stand up comics.
