1st wed have to establish a baseline for narcassistic and what we consider adaptive and maladaptive:
Because general society thinks its find to be full of ones self as long as they have a position that supports ..
But i think its narsacisstic to Lie about someone or something to maintain power and position .. so wed have to decide what is “socially” acceptable naracism .. and what how would we determine that?
Is it fine for a politician to be full of themselves and not have to ever be frustrated or irritated by someone elses position.. and demand others adjust to their position which creates emotional constipation and storing of unresolved Problems….
Is it narassitix to not give credit where credit is due or Deny people rights to positions based on gender or race?
Is it naracssistic to be a doctor who knows everything and cant Recognize Their mistakes to people who arent doctors ?
Is it naracisstic to think kids shouldnt or dont have rights to Have autonomy or Being valudated when they are right against a teacher?
Is it naracisstic to violate others rights but hold a position that allows You to get away because of money and power?
Cuz i know People who have done really crazy things but no one ever described them as naracisstic because No one thought of that as naracisstic..
And ive seen people of trauma be Labled narcassistic because that lack ability to Talk about trauma that occured in infancy..
Its why were struggling with the “definitive” lines and Forced to clumping Characteristics together and Then applying it through our own lense. But what if the doctor is a naracisst like Kavorkian Or Mangla.. only AFTER did it get labeled that.. but what about all the diagnosed patience through their lenses.. ya know? Like Ted bundies mom and social group called him a lot of things.. narcissistic wasnt one of them..not untiln after caught…. How many doctors tortured people with experiments and lacked empathy for baby william? Or removing Pain medications Because suddenly they are addictive but prior giving them out …
What about all the doctors that labeled people insane and kept them in squaller.. do we go back and revise the Definition is the decision that some lives are worth less then others and “Doctor” alots you the ability to Bleed people .. or Run studies on people that cause nightmares or Long term Psychological effects?
If water is knowingly contaminated.. But thats hidden knowing its killing lots of people… Are those now labeled narcissistic?
Is it naracisstic for a judge to base a decision on personal experience or not read all the facts that plays with the lives of someone else?
is it narcassistic to knowinly create trauma to teach using eye foe an eye methods by people who claim to “ do no harm”
What about the doctors who impregnated people with their iwn sperm but went on practicing and diagnosing mental health conditions in patients..
See first we as a society gotta decide based on already established examples.. of prior people.
Some might say Mommy dearest was naracisstic.. some might say ocd and adhd.. what if its both?
Some might say Elvis being so controling Percilla presley Throwing up her food to the carrots line was naracisstic.
Some argued OJ simpson was NOT naracsistic….
Until we got a spectrum labeled with examples of each and Whay behaviors are cobsiderd the right amount of naracissm or too much or psycholopathy.. its not defined enough to determine And expect them to share or be open when Doctors have zero understanding , definition or solutions.
Instead we Say a diagnosis and then demonize and wonder why people hide their problems or fear misdiagnosis.
((Disclaimer; im not trying to offend Doctors , im opening up dialogue regarding why we cant figure out if its ADHD or naracissm. Is Argue one is self Seeking or not meant to hurt others.. the other is Self serving at the cost of another.. but only because it was taken from them first .. and what were really discussing is a transfer of energies.. to drain someone or does someone get pleasure out of having power. )
Adhd people are trying to preserve their energy By Remaining in Activities that give them energy..
Naracissim is taking energy from someone as a form of gaining energy because thats the activity that They enjoy or like “power”
A doctor who Uses position to force others to Bow down and not question them us just as wrong as a person draining in relationships to remain In power…
Adhd is not about power.. maybe control over ones self. Using various Strattegies or to relieve symptoms that dont impede another knowingly.
Ie: they talk about spevial intersts cuz the love it and want to share it. Not because they want attention or control, glory or power. And they are quick to Feel bad/guilty.. they lack Ability but not With intent to drain or cause harm.
    In my experience .

@@Embarasin Wow, thank you for this incredibly thoughtful and detailed response! 🙏 Your insights really add depth to this complex topic. Let me address some of your points:
      1. Establishing a baseline for narcissism is crucial. You're spot on about needing to differentiate between adaptive and maladaptive traits. A narcissism scale could look something like this:
      0-3: Healthy self-esteem
      4-6: Moderate narcissistic traits
      7-8: Significant narcissistic features
      9-10: Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Factors like empathy, need for admiration, entitlement, and reaction to criticism would all play a role here.
      2. Healthy vs. Unhealthy Narcissism:
Healthy narcissism is actually important! It includes:
      • Realistic self-esteem
      • Pride in achievements
      • Self-confidence to pursue goals
      • Ability to form meaningful relationships
These traits help us make friends, take pride in our work, and stay motivated. Without some healthy narcissism, we'd be drowning in self-doubt!
Unhealthy narcissism, on the flip side, involves:
      • Excessive need for admiration
      • Lack of empathy
      • Exploiting others
      • Inability to handle criticism
      3. Your points about historical context are fascinating. It's true - many historical figures and practices might be viewed totally differently today. It really shows how our understanding of mental health evolves over time.
      4. I love your insight about energy dynamics in ADHD vs. Narcissism. You're right - ADHD often involves trying to preserve or generate energy, while pathological narcissism tends to drain energy from others. The distinctions you mentioned about intent and self-awareness are key.
      5. Your examples of narcissistic behaviors in various professions are eye-opening. It really highlights how narcissism can manifest at institutional levels - that's a whole other can of worms!
      6. The overlap between conditions like ADHD, OCD, and narcissism definitely makes diagnosis tricky. It's why we need comprehensive psych evaluations, not just quick assessments.
      7. Your concern about labeling is valid. Mental health professionals myst be very careful to avoid stigmatization. In many cases, I would not tell a client their diagnosis as doing so could potentially cause more harm than good.
You've given me a lot to think about, especially regarding systemic narcissism and the spectrum of narcissistic traits. These would make for great topics for future episodes! I'm particularly intrigued by the idea of exploring how societal norms influence our perception of narcissism.
Your insights on the energy dynamics between ADHD and narcissism are particularly intriguing. I'd love to dive deeper into that in a future video. Maybe we could explore how these energy patterns manifest in different situations?
Thanks again for such a thought-provoking comment. It's clear you've given this a lot of consideration, and your perspective adds so much to the conversation. Comments like yours really help push our understanding forward! 💡🧠
