this is sooo good, i love the way he smiles too, he looks so calm and happy..and the way he sort of apologises to the woman in the kitchen wen he bumps into her,,in contrast to the BS video. i also bought it on the day it was released, liked this song from the start.....music certainly is power.

the verve reunited in june of this year. they are currently working in the studio on a new album, and have a few gigs in the UK lined up. heeeell yeeeeah.
Richard Ashcroft was The Verve. I think he's got better as he's got older and his solo stuff has defined him in my eyes. 'Keys to the world' maybe isn't his best album but 'Human Conditions' and 'Alone with everybody' are absolute masterpieces.

I didn't know it was going to be awful until I watched it, simple really! I really do think the guy is a genius, for what he did in the Verve mainly. Most of his solo stuff has been pretty bad, except: Song for the lovers, check the meaning and God in the numbers.
I love this song,and to the person who commented'hes never gonna be a paul weller', i thought this was paul weller! his face doesnt match his voice,his voice is amazing,but his face isnt-oh well with a voice like that who gives a s***!
once again a verve vid in a hotel? hmm, Guess hotels are quite a nice envoirment for movies. But some new settings coudnt be wrong.. (btw my favs of theirs are the drugs dont work and the song bittersweet synphony.. :)
I do like Richard Ashcroft songs more than The Verve songs. I don't get why that's 'not done'. The same with finding a cover better than the original song. Just say what you want, don't be afraid of other people's opinions. Especially on RUclips.
This may have to do with the fact that Ashcroft's career in the U.S. has dissipated. All of solo records were released throughout the world on a specific date while their releases were delayed in the U.S. sometimes for several months. Keys to the World and United Nations of Sounds are clear examples. With a small profile in the States, poor marketing of his work, mixed reception to his work and delayed release in the U.S., "Music is Power" isn't going to make much of an impact here.
There is no point comapring solo work to wen h e was in the verve mate you could say that with alot of people i.e Paul Mccartney, John Lennon. May not of been good as there beatles stuff but still bloody good same with richard ashcroft
