geez poppin dream was so dern entertaining. absolutely loved it. kasumi freaking out over flying really got me XD also had one of my favorite scenes ever (which wasn't here but that's okay) it was all of PoPiPa looking up at the stars. falling into this series was the best thing that happened to me this year.
It's so very good. The fully 3D modelled aspect also lets them do some crazy amazing attention to detail with all the instrument playing (partly through mo-cap), which is always so cool to see. FILM LIVE 2nd Stage is a must-watch in this respect, it takes place outside the story itself, but is basically a nearly two hour concert from start to finish.
I like how the Guam natives have more realistic character designs than the overly cartoonish looking anime girls, and that they don't mesh well with each other.
Being primarily modelled (3D) rather than drawn (2D) is also what lets the series have such incredibly amazing technical attention to detail for the instruments being played.
i'm pretty sure both of them would rather have seen an Indycar race, because in that sport, the racing's actually good. also, there hasn't been an Indycar race in january since the last race at walt disney world speedway in 2000. (yes, by the way, i am aware Indycar raced at COTA in 2019. that was a one and done, though.)
