- André Leon Talley is being remembered as a pioneering African American fashion journalist following news of his death Tuesday. Talley was the first Black man to be named creative director at Vogue magazine.

Andre Leon Talley was a gift that God wanted to show off. He was towering in every sense of the word. Stature, love, style, creativity, original, etc. Vogue was already built in him...as such, he was vogue. He didn't need to place too much concern about Vogue magazine in the end. The magazine simply served as a conduit for how he was to show up for the world. Mr. Talley was here and he was loved by all...the true essence of style. God saw to it. And so, rest well, sir. You have earned your wings, and therefore, you are now well dressed for all eternity. God bless each and all who loved him.

I had the pleasure of being fussed at by him when I tried to take a photo of him while he was at a book signing. He apologized to me, but I was so much in "awe", and "star struck" that I didn't mind. ❤
After he helped rocket her to fame, Anna Wintour dumped him for being old and fat. He was a great creative light in the world and a lovely man. May he rest in peace.

i don't like how he looked down on people and was condescending. i also he was kicked out of a place where he wasn't paying rent and thought it was all free gratis by a couple rich dudes that changed their minds
