“Look! Not down at the ground Edith - way up there in the sky!” “A surprising number of human beings are without purpose, though it is probable they are performing some function unknown to themselves.” “Everything begins and ends at exactly the right time and place.” “Waiting a million years … just for us.”
It was beautiful and brilliant, old and new at the same time , and I’ll never forget it , seeing the movie as a little child and hearing this magical music along with the magical scary beautiful film , beyond brilliant , and love Miranda and love everyone else who had more difficult roles , but as a child wanted to be Miranda and had a crush on the dark haired boy, brother of the girl who crashed through the glasshouse roof ❤
Outstanding & extremely moving piece Played with such sensitivity. I have shared with so many pianists and composers & all of them were very impressed !!!
So if you are playing this as a piano solo, why am I hearing a flute, a synth and other sound effects? Also, the notes I hear do not correspond to the notes you are playing. I know this as a fact as I possess absolute pitch
I am miming to my own recording, which also has other instruments. Possibly I played one or two notes differently when I made this video. If you prefer a solo piano version try this one: ruclips.net/video/J8aZI7rkXCM/видео.html

Of the 13k views there must be at least 10k views from me alone. Gorgeous!!! Thank you!
Thankyou.
Very clever composition.... where is the music leading us? What journey are we on? What is our destination? Will we survive?
Ha ha!
Mystery is the master word

What was the piano music at the end of the movie, anyone?
Beethoven's 5th piano concerto, the slow movement.
Do you know where I can buy the sheet music for this? Also looking for The Go Between music.
It was published by Chappell Music in 1982.
