One of your best. Love the Thames and all the scenery on and off the boat.
Thanks, Bill. Glad you liked it.
That was fantastic thank you 👍Great music...🤗
Glad you enjoyed it
Truly loved this video, it took me back to my days working on the hotel boat “Le sans Egal”, back in the 80’s. Thank you so much 🙏🏻👍

Thanks Roy Orbison...enjoyed that vlog
Glad you enjoyed it
thanks, another enjoyable vlog...
Glad you enjoyed it
Great episode which brought back more memories. In 1979 I hired a party boat, Pink Lady, on part of that stretch of the river for the wedding reception when I married my Late Wife Marie. Happy Days with great memories. Thank you and regards, Michael
Glad we could rekindle some happy thoughts for you, Michael. We've been watching your vlogs on searching for a boat and the K and A
Thank you Both for watching my videos. Nothing like as exciting as yours and I both admire and envy you. Keep on Cruising. Best wishes Michael
Thanks so much what a beautiful part of England. Got a double treat you folks and Foxes in the same area. Both awesome narrowboaters. Thanks again
Glad you enjoyed it, Ernest
Love the vlog. Gorgeous houses
Glad you like them!
Thanks for another great adventure along the beautiful Thames with all the fantastic homes of the rich and famous and thanks for all the historical facts. We moored last year just before the Sonning bridge and walked to the pub nearby and there were lots of secret service type characters about then just before we left Theresa May came in so I think it was probably her local and she'd called in for a few pints of bitter. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Glad you enjoyed it, Stevie. Apparently going for a pint is one of George Clooney's favourite things to do. So, maybe we'll bump into him at the local one day. We spoke to the lock keeper and he said that when he moved in in January, George was the first person to come an introduce himself. Walked up to his front door and knocked, bold as brass.
what a beautiful trip down the Thames with fabulous companions and my happy music, always makes me smile. Love all the great houses and especially liked the Hobbit door in the tree. You guys don't miss a trick! Had a wonderful time floating with you, thanks so much!
Our pleasure, Julia
You guys are making me really home sick, I was born and raised in Reading and spent many many hours on the Thames and Kennet. I currently am living in Houston Texas, but am hoping to come back to England after 20 years away next Spring. I intend to buy and live on a Narrowboat.
Thanks for your vlogs, I love watching them.
You are more than welcome, Brian. Maybe we'll bump into each other next year.
My husband and I love watching your videos! What you’re doing is what we want to do one of these days! We really like the way you are so full of interesting and historical facts along the way, it’s like a travel show as well! 😁 Have a great week and we’ll see you next time! 👋
You can do it! We took the plunge and it was a risk. luckily it worked out for us. It is a great life and a lot of fun. Thank you for watching the vlogs and we're glad you enjoy them.
Love watching your vlogs and reading Mark's book now...
Yay! Thank you!
Thanks so much for your vlog - you dare to go where we would love to but are river shy, that's why we stick to the canals! Such lovely scenery with toe tapping music to boot! Thanku😁
Thanks so much! The river is so much fun. You should try it, Susan
Another belter...when the summer sun hits this area...its outrageously beautiful...i could live in a tent there and be happy...(as long as as the pubs open)...lol..👍👍🍺🍺
Couldn't agree more!
Sonning looks lovely! Thankyou for a really interesting vlog.🌻
Glad you enjoyed it, Sherri
So many beautiful houses on that stretch of river. I am not a fan of rivers but I think I would enjoy this stretch. I do worry about the mooring though...
Mooring was easier than you might think, Justine. We always found a nice spot to stop.
Hi Mark and Julie...Lovely to have met you both. Keep up the great work! Jonathan and Tess the dog!
Thanks, you too!
Very beautiful trip today. Enjoyed greatly.
Glad you enjoyed it
We have a Henley regatta here in Australia too - the Henley-on-Todd Regatta. Most years the river is dry so the regatta is more of a foot race.
We bet that's a spectacle to see.
Slight correction, it’s always a foot race with literally open bottom boats. On the rare occasion there is water in the river the race is cancelled.

you probably dont care at all but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb lost the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Rudy Matteo Instablaster ;)
Hoping the specs are going to be a mix of Dame Edna meets Elton John,
Im now expecting to see their house in next weeks vid as you sniff out more celebs properties👍
I thought they were one and the same person
Hello there, interesting n nicely put over, very posh n stunning scenery,
very good camera work
Thank you for sharing your video cheers take care see you soon
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice pictures of Sonning Church - and the interior (unusual for boaters to bother with churches - whicvh is a pity as there often quite a lot of history inside). You won't be around - but for others, it has a nice pealy of six (or is it 8?) - a joy to hear over the still of a Thames evening....
We love history wherever we find it. Churches are always the most interesting places because they are a hub for community life through the ages.
That was a lovely vlog and i do love a bit of celebrity spotting 😀
Thanks so much! 😊 So do we, Annette
Hi guys... pleased to see you are well.... apologies I didn't know you wanted me to comment often... I never miss one of your vlogs as a subscriber as I always enjoy them immensely... that rudder still has a bad vibration to it... I really hope it doesn't fall off... magnet fishing for it would be interesting... thanks for sharing that lovely cruise... it was cool seeing how the other half live in their tiny little shacks...lol... there were some really beautiful homes there but I really love those old homes in the town... keep safe... until the next one...
Hi Mike, You can comment anytime you like. you don't have to comment every week. ;-)
Your videos always make me happy...photography, sound, scenery narrative, banter...all so good. Can't wait for the next one.
Glad you like them, Pamela. Your comment makes us smile. It's a win, win!
Really enjoyed this video , what a lovely way to see all the beautiful house's on the Thames. Still hoping one day to do this for myself, looking forward to your next update.
Glad you liked it, Paul
Thank you guys again for this wonderful video. I just love all the houses and when Julie was walking around. Beautiful country side. Also, I wanted to say, I was watching your videos last night as I am trying to get caught up and I came across the one of your precious fur baby Eric. All I know is he is your Angel watching over you both. I hope I didn't upset you by saying something. Anyway have a wonderful weekend and I look so forward to your next video. Hugs from Las Vegas. 💕💕
Don't worry, Kimberley. We didn't mind. At least you took the time to say something and that's always appreciated. Glad you like the vlogs and stay safe in Vegas
I loved the vlog. I loved that you pointed out the houses. I have been to Reading area but did not know of this area. I will have to plan a trip.
You should! It is picture postcard perfect and you could walk it from Reading Oracle centre
Hello Mark and Julie.
We have been watched all your video since the first one and we love all of them! Including all the adds (to Mark´s beer). We have to say: Mark, we love you sense of humor. We laugh a lot. Julie, you have been changing since the first video. You didn´t smile frequently and now you laugh delighty. And other thing: you are a Saint, woman!!!
Thank you for the amazing videos and kisses form south Brazil (now freezing 2oC!!)
Our pleasure Roberto and Herika. The fact you take the time to comment is what makes it all worthwhile to us. keep watching and enjoying. All the best

'Keeping Up Appearances' - Hyacinth Bucket - Regaaaatta! :-) .........
Great that you got so much of #Henley and #Shiplake.... could've done with More of #Wargrave where I grew up and virtually 'lived' IN and ON the river :-) .... Although it's got a bit drab these days by comparison to the 50's/60's :-( .......
Was a good little review of #Sonning though believe it or not - #Wargrave was the Epi-Centre of of the whole area Waaaay back in the day, even eclipsing Windsor, Henley, Sonning etc, etc. If ever you get your hands on the Two 'Book of Wargrave's They make for fascinating reading - (NO! Not #Reading ;-) ........
#Great Video - A definite 'Keeper' ............
I think Debbie McGee lives in Wargrave. It seems that Henley and Sonning have stolen the limelight somewhat, Pete. Maybe that's why we decided to focus on Henley and Sonning. Mind you, maybe next time...
THOSE TALL FUNNELS ON THE MOCK MISSISSIPPI STERN WHEELERS MUST FOLD DOWN TO GET UNDER THE BRIDGES...
They do
Hi guys, it's lovely to watch your journey, given that you are far braver than me to take the plunge, changing your lifestyle. So I get to live the dream vicariously through you 😁.
How do you find always being on the move? Given the limitations of where a widebeam can travel, I assume that you find yourself going up and down the same waterways?
There is an element of that, but we have been onboard three years and have only done the K and A and the GU plus the Thames, and we certainly aren't bored with the view yet
Wow, you played that tune again. There are a few things that make me smile widely and that is one of them. Just really like it. Follow the Foxes also so you got to see Otis? I love following narrow boaters but the only time I've ever really wanted to try it is when I see the Thames. Thanks again for a lovely video both. x
That's great, Jan. You should try it. You'd love it! We have always found the Thames to be a pleasure to cruise
Hi guys. Thanks again for a lovely video. I noticed the tiller vibrating quite a bit; is that normal and if not why? Stay safe and good luck with the new specs.. Regards Col.
I have basically the same boat and mine does the same and has done since new. Nice to see my old neighbour is almost back to where it all started :-)
Good question! It definitely isn't normal, but we don't think we're in any danger of it falling off just yet. Probably the bearings
Very nice cruising up the Thames . Mark , at 11.06 , not a good look holding the throbbing tiller in your hand , sorry , is it just me :-)
Probably not just you
What is the name of the music that was used again in this vlog?
Happy Mandolin, Ron
The worst thing about masks is you never get to see peoples smiles.
That's so true
How much for a pint of beer in Henley on Thames........please......stay safe......
Hi Martin, We didn't buy beer in the pub but had we, We'd have to take out a mortgage to pay for it we suspect
@@paullbennett2923 Thanks for the tip Paul, but we wouldn't set foot in a Wetherspoons if you paid us, not after the way Tim Martin the MD sacked all his staff and told them to get jobs in Tescos during the pandemic. We did visit the pub on the riverfront last year and that was quite reasonable
Watch dog legion bring me here
Welcome
Yes! Got glasses whilst wearing a mask. Hate them!
They steam up
