Salam Moses, I am am American revert. I read the Quran in English and fell in love with the word of God. I then read Bukari/Muslim and took classes that said my following was wrong. Dear brother in Islam, please keep away from any books other than the Qur'an. Do not read the translation of the Qur'an but rather learn Arabic and understand the Qur'an by yourself because on the day of judgement you'll be asked about yourself.
Believe in Allah and day of judgement and do good deeds as well as give charity. The rest is just added points if any. Bless you

    Subhaan Allah.
Brother Moses, Brilliant to see true scholars who are giving us TRUE QURANIC ISLAM.
Throughout history, even in the 19th and 20th century there have been scholars who have tried to bring us back to the Quran.
Even the great Poet Allama Iqbal knew that the prayer of the Muslims was not bringing about change!
We can pray all day long, but, as the Quran states:
Allah does not change the condition of a people, until, they, themselves change.
    Another veese:
Man gets nothing, but what he strives gard for.
In other words, no amount of praying will get you what you want!.But the true adoption of Aqeemu salat can change the whole planet!!

      Indeed
Another great Allama, who was consulted by Qaid e Azam Jinnah was Allama Pervez. He was asked by Jinnah to formulate the basis for the Government for the newly formed Pakistan. Allama G. Pervez came in for a lot of backlash from the mullahs! Their backwards mentality clashed with the " Quranic" Allama Pervez. He was called a kafir by the mullahs. In my humble opinion he was one of the great scholars of the 20th century.

Firstly, good job with the presentation.
Secondly, I find myself concurring with almost everything you presented here.
Thirdly, I have come to the realization that the true meaning of "Aqeemo" is in the word itself. I am sure you and almost everybody with a thinking mind are aware that the same 3 root letters "Qaf-Waw-Miim" is also for the English equivalent "People" or the Arabic "qawm!"
Now, it does not matter if you want to use "stand/establish/restore/repair" but the main thing is that is all about "standing/establishing/restoring/repairing" to the people/system.
For example, "repairing the wall that is about to collapse" is using your knowledge to make the wall that you are repairing to unobtrusively fit the existing wall.
So, "aqeemo al-salat" is simply reciting the Quran, and keeping it pure and untainted, to the people!
Thus, ensuring peace, prosperity and security to the people who believe in the Word/Command of God, i.e. the Quran.
    Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Verily, this Quran is made easy for you.
    salam.

But just to say that since we all regard our Rasul (PBUH) to be the principal source of our guidance, alongside the holy Book, your interpretation of Salat/namaz must hold against the practice he and his companions and followers adopted. Brother i respect your efforts 'but if you read 4-102 ALLAH is telling the prophet during times of war to be cautious of the enemy and this ayah clearly states the prophet and believers are instructed to perform a ritual SALAT. Also ALLAH says in 4-103 'that SALAT is prescribed on the believers on specified times 'and also ALLAH says in 4=101 that if your traveling through the land 'then shorten your SALAT. Now 'i ask you brother 'how can you shorten 'following closely or connecting 'brother i used to also believe there was no ritual SALAT 'but after further study 'i have come to know that there is a ritual aspect in QURAN. The word SALLU can mean contact, connect. follow closely 'but when ALLAH says AQEEMOO SALAT 'ALLAH is referring to a ritual SALAT. The SALAT has two aspects in QURAN the physical SALAT and phycological SALAT 'standing position for the phycological side is 'one monotheism and the physical position is when you stand to perform a ritual SALAT . The bowing position phycological is being humble to the verses of ALLAH and not disputing with verses of ALLAH and the physical side when you bow to perform SALAT. The phycological prostration is accepting and implementing and believing the QURAN 'and physical is when your in your Sujjoood.
Brother there are two sides to follow the QURAN physically and phytologically 'you are only following the phycological SALAT 'and leaving out the physical part. When the word SALLU is used in QURAN 'you have to understand the context and then use the root meaning of the word to fit in with the context. The word following closely and connect or contact 'must be applied in most verses 'but when ALLAH says establish SALAT 'you have to perform the ritual SALAT 'and the format we have to get for the SALAT is from the standing place of ABRAHIM in surah 2-125 'which is located in MECCAH.
But when performing SALAT 'i can grantee you all imams around the world when leading the SALAT 'will only recite the verses of ALLAH 'never HADITH. But when sitting down bowing 'you the believer will only recite the QURAN silently and complete your SALAT. The difference between the believers and the MUSHRICKS 'is simply 'we the believers will recite the QURAN when bowing sitting in SALAT and the MUSHRICKS will start to praise ABRAHIM and MUHAMAD peace be to both.
Brother 'do further study and research the QURAN and i promise you god willing 'you will understand. Peace be with you.

  • @coachdebruyns
    @coachdebruyns Месяц назад

I don't see how aqeem as salat translated as establish the salat (ritual prayers) doesn't serve the purpose of connection between God and people as well as between people and other people. It in fact does that, and I believe you are undermining the importance of ritual prayer in almost any religion as well as the importance of congregating in the place (Masjid) for that purpose. It is quite possible that Salah in the way you translate it to connect entities does refer to the prayers also. How would you reconcile this, "establish the salah at the declining of the sun, and into the night and the reading of the Fajr...." or "do not let them enter your place of undress in set times..... After salat Al eshaa..." or "when the call to Salah is made on the day of jumuah, then hasten to the rememberable of Allah" or "guard the salawaat and especially the middle Salah..." I appreciate the dimensions of meaning you infer because after all interpretations have always been numerous, but when you have managed to cancel all the normative religious practices of Muslims what do you suggest replacing it with? So Christians and Jews have places of worship "houses in which God is remembered" but Muslims should make use of factories and libraries to establish the law of God, and have no formal known means of prayer despite that they in fact do? What a fantastic innovation and effort it must've been to align all sects who hated and fought wars against each other on the simple matter of Salah (prayers)? I think your ideas are interesting but seems inconsistent. You'd have to take every instance of every reference and interpret the entire Quran with those inferred meanings. Like if Rijal meant only "Peoole in authority" you'd have to do a deep dive on the vast discussions related to marriage in the Quran. For example "then wed women of your choice two, three or four..." If Nisaa here were just people without authority then a person in authority even a woman can wed (Nikah/ sleep with) two three or four or any number of men. You seem to have a very gender neutral approach. How can we even talk about the law of God if everything is seemingly metaphorical? What would be the law of God? Wash your face and your hands to your elbows and wipe your head and feet to your ankles is metaphorical and does not actually refer to a ritual purification according to you. So we'll have very little tangible anything if we follow along that trajectory.
