You can stay for few days and do the meditation...but I think you cannot attend the course as per rule 3 months gap is required. You can do the serving as sevak or join small courses. But for few days you can stay there. As Ladakh is cut off in winters so food me jyada variety nhi h as compared to other centres. Simple food is what they serve. But it is still appreciable in such extreme conditions.
Hi Sahil, I live in mumbai and going to attend 10 days session starting in feb 2021. I am little bit worried as temperature is there between -10 to -30℃ .How are the facilities and all there? I am living in 20℃ as little bit worried. Thanks in advance
Hi Prakhar, this centre is newly built but still has good facilities, I have been there in middle of April and it was nice experience without any problem. In Feb Temperature will be below freezing point, but rooms are built with so much insulation they once you inside you won't feel much cold, enough blankets are given. If you are worried carry one blanket with you. The only issue you will be facing as there is only solar water heater to take bath for that you have to manage, but the Dhamma workers will always provide you to drink hot water. Carry a thermos with you. Reach Ladakh one day before get acclimates with weather and atmosphere. Buy some local cap or wollens as they are very warm.

Is Leh safe in that matter? -Also where can I find a genuine homestay..I searched online but they are all likr guest houses. I'm sure there might be a provision to live in a homestay which does have families already living there.. - Apart from Vipassana what else did you do in your trip??? I'm asking cuz I don't know anyone who has been to Leh - Also how are the climatic conditions in March? Do you have an idea?
@@atharvjoshi1290 Kashmir has different issue that is not the case in Ladakh. The only thing to keep in mind is below freezing temperatures and less oxygen in atmosphere. Apart from that it is very safe. Most people go on solo trips here. We are group of five all are soli traveller. Apart from Vipassana I have been to Nubra valley and pangong lake. There are dozen of monasteries if you are interested in them. Famous view points like Rancho school and river amalgamation. We have done trip in hurry but if you have time atleast 1 week is required. May be due to heavy snow khardungla pass to Nubra valley and changla pass to pangong may be blocked. Due some research before going that. I personally on 1st day stay in hotel but it was around 2000 for a day, which was costlier with my budget, after completing Vipassana course we stay in a hostel which is around 300-350. In Nubra valley there was homestay where we tested for 1 day but there is only one caretaker not entire family. In Leh I don't think family will be staying there too, in villages if you opt to stay there is definitely family resides with it.

Roads will be closed ...only flight is option ....book in advance so rate will be cheap with 1500-2000 Rs. Abhi to pandemic ki wajah se Vipassana k courses nhi chal rhe h...but when they are starting again you can go to Ladakh first either by road from Manali to Leh during summer....in winters this route is closed ...then you can only visit Ladakh by flight. The centre is in saboo village 10 km away from main city.

@@ravalgaon09 Recently Atal Rohtang tunnel is opened for public. It connects Manali to Lahul, it means by road there is all weather connectivity to Ladakh. So from this year you can even go by bus to Ladakh even in month of December.
I am from Delhi and Preference will be given to local ladakhi's first ..it is mentioned on there website 😶..or abi ki sarri seats full hi h November tk .
Ye Vipassana Ka centre saboo village me hai jo ki leh city se 10 km door h. You can book a taxi from city or direct airport. I was there in month of April when there is only flight connectivity to Leh.
