Agreed. Americans have at least as many laws that stop them doing "anything they want" as most civilised countries, but they have other restrictions on top : Americans can't have a road accident, because they either spend the rest of their lives in debt to the hospitals, or their insurance premiums hike so high they can't afford it any more, because the healthcare system is so badly skewed in favour of private health insurers. They can't send their kids to school, or enter certain neighbourhoods knowing they are safe from being shot to death, because every lunatic and his dog has access to guns and leaves them around for their lunatic kids to get hold of. Most civilised countries don't have either of those restrictions.
Abortion was not at federal level as far as I know. They have states that are so feminist that if a women points at you and says you have groped her even though it is your first time in the country or even in the state you will get arrested no questions asked. In those states, if you are a man you are guilty untill proven innocent. I don't think I can remember any of them from the past either. The president in Germany has a very similar role to the president in Italy. Their key role is to protect the constitution by signing off or placing veto on laws passed by parliament. Normally the prime minister in Italy and the Chancellor in Germany are those that count in terms of running the country and are way better known as they get much more press coverage. Presidents less so.
Half true. Canada is a monarchy. Administrated by prime minister, but the head of the state is the British monarch, true for most of the Commonwealth countries (former possession of British Empire). Btw, here in Romania, we learn this (and many other) in primary school.

@bladerunner3314 In most of Europe, both the kings and the presidents have the power to dissolve parliament and, by extension, fire the prime minister/chancellor and, since the presidents are elected, they have a little bit more freedom to actually use that power.

@bladerunner3314 In most of Europe, both the kings and the presidents have the power to dissolve parliament and, by extension, fire the prime minister/chancellor and, since the presidents are elected, they have a little bit more freedom to actually use that power. @@catdisc5304 I agree that these come from the same basis in writing, but at the end, in the oral form, they sound very different, adding foreign pronunciation.
@@Emile97427 absolutely, i just think its interesting that the words are still basically the same. Just as Monaco in Italian, some other comment said that munich/münchen is called Monaco in Italian, same as the actual monaco and the word for monks. They're all written the same and pronounced the same.
Language is such an interesting topic
This was pure comedy!!!! The Brussels thing and the Munchen thing were glorious! I wasn't even feeling secondhand embarrassment (Fremdschämen in German), it was just hilarious!
Trudeau is the Canadian President now......🤣😂🤣 Charles III will be devastated!
Canada's de facto head of state is the Governor General. The King has a purely ceremonial role.
Your realisation that München is Munich. 😂🎉 Priceless. Greetings from Köln (Cologne)
It's funny how today, in the 21st century, when every piece of information is a click away, people have become more and more ignorant.
Autodidact (self-educated) is not only a meaningless word, but I'm afraid it is completely forgotten.
The German president one was kinda harsh. Not American but I've been living in Germany for 2.5 years now with my German fiancé and neither of us knew who the president is 😅
"It's weird that Munich would have a GERMAN name, it's sounds GERMAN" 😁🤣🤣🤣 You know what's weirder ? There's a German name for Germany 🤣🤣🤣
This was one of your best videos. We knew you ‘knew’ the answers, your frustration was relatable 😂❤️
People react to "what's the greatest country in the world?" with "not America" because that's a guided question that they've heard a billion times in their lives over and over and over and over and over.
They grew up being told that 'Murica is the greatest country in the world and they grew up being instructed to say it at every occasion.
Only in recent years it has been lampshaded how embarrassingly wrong that is and it's wildly become acceptable *NOT* to give the standard patriotic answer.
There's only a small number of US Americans who realise, that USA is not the greatest country in the world. Most will still say USA because the indoctrination is that strong and has been going on for decades.
Sadly, they still don't understand why...
I love these reaction videos. So funny and you doing a great job reacting to them. I am from Austria and even I am shocked how dumb SOME Americans are. But I never would say ALL Americans are dumb. I am sure there are smart Americans out there. The fact, that last person he questioned was a kid and not even from America. That was hilarous :D
3:06 Calling "Yemen!" within 2 seconds of the finger pointed at it. You, Sir, get my whole respect!
What I like most about Yemen is that it's right next to Oman. Yemen! Oman!
"Is there a double entendre going on?"
Nah, I think it was just a single entendre this time. xD
21:53 München is Munich. Cologne is Köln. We have some city names changed, to make it simpler for foreigners.
Now i see, that this is the wrong way.
Being ignorant and being actually stupid, are two different things. One can be remidied through study. Very few people are actually stupid.
Some are willingly stupid, willingly ignorant, as it makes life easier; as you don't have to care much about anything beyond your immediates.
It takes effort to lift the direction of your nose from the pavement to see, and interact with the reality around you. Today, -most- many people are not
allowed the means to make the try.
and realise ones wrong and admit it to one self. here here on this comment.
Most are actually stupid. Ignorance is one of many aspects of stupidity.
Sadly, both of us are stupid.
"are not allowed the means to make the try" : WHAT????? Being educated has never, in the history of the world, been more easy!
And never in our civilization have so many people been so intellectually lazy!
@@micade2518 Good catch, ment many.
1:39 Hitler was named Chancellor by the President Paul von Hindenburg. After von Hindenburg died in 1934 Hitler merged the two offices into a new one: that of the Führer (leader in English). Interestingly, after Hitler commuted suicide, he decided to break this role apart again and named a president and a chancellor as his successors.
Who was the ‚he‘ that decided to break up the titles after Hitlers suicide? You might work on your comprehensibility - or check your comment once posted (you can always edit, that‘s what I do)
@@lillic8522 in the case of further definition, a pronoun always refers to the last fitting definition, here Hitler.
When I was on holiday from Switzerland I was asked by an American planning to trip to Europe if he could speak English wherever he went.I answered him mostly Yes and wanted to add but you have to learn it first but left that out
Belgian = nationality, Belgium = country
And just because you live there it doesn't mean you are a national.
Waffles
Wrong they are Flemish
@@raeday4430You're almost right 😉
Flanders is about half of the country of Belgium. Belgians live in the Region of Flanders (Vlaams Gewest), Region of Wallonia (Waals Gewest) or Region of Brussels (Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest). Official languages are Dutch (Flemish), French and German 😊
funfact: Brussels was indeed dutch until the belgian revolution and independence with the treaty of london 1830.
The treaty of London was in 1839, not 1830. That treaty was the result after the Netherlands refused to sign the Treaty of the Eighteen Articles...... that treaty was about the borders that splits the Netherland and Belgium. It got resolved in 1839 (Treaty of London). Belgium independence was in 1831 already done, 8 years before.
@@ovide1000 you are right. but the treaty is why its not dutch today basicly. because england was to guarantee belgiums independence
only for 15 years
If I would watch this video, I would have a facepalm counter after how much I have facepalmed 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 like come on do you only go to school to cheat don’t you learn anything? 😅😅😅
This clearly exemplifies the lack of basic world geography (amongst others) within your public school curriculum.
Plus general interest in the World
Not only school. There is almost no news coverage from outside the US. Almost no foreign media ...
Don't blame this on the school, kids don't pay attention to school in other countries either.
This is because of a navel gazing narcissistic culture that doesn't pay attention to any kind of media that isn't about themselves.
don't feel bad, haha, I couldn't answer 90% of them questions either. we appreciate you and your content!
As a belgian I find it so funny how you were struggling so much to know from were Brussel is 😂🇧🇪
I loved the München and Munich Thing! Its not bad to NOT know that!
Far worse is that he don't know Lucky Luke, Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill
Me too!
@@BGRatz77yeah, that‘s unironically bad and sad
It really is actually.
You're not dumb 😂 we all have off days ;) hella entertaining, listening to you though ❤😂
Thing here is that we are talking ignorance a lot of the time. There were definitely dumb people in this video, but some was also ignorance.
On the question of the greatest country in the world I would use something like the "World Happiness Report" which basically accounts for people being happy where they live, life expectancy and so on. According to the 2022 report Finland could be argued to be the greatest country in the world (to live in ?).
😂 thanks for uploading 😅 at least your ego is not American
