Great looking car, nice stance, engine bay outstanding, cam has nice duration, wheels modern but true to the factory pontiac design. Nothing wrong with a large wheel...especially when the stance is on point.

Everybody always has it could of it should of this and that but the imagination that went into the TA was excellent.just when you see the 24 in the rear and want to say something negative the TA LINES sucks up the wheel stance in to its body and turns a smile on any face.well done .love it.
Love the paint and interior. Engine is badass.

I also have a 81 on 22s, its all about personal preffernce, I have seen TAs on 24s now thats too big, 22s are the biggest because the wheel well is big its a perfect fit. Your car looks good with those wheels! gave me inspiration to restore mine!
81 WAS THE LAST YEAR THE TRANS AM AND CAMARO HAD THIS MODEL BEFORE IT LOOKED LIKE THE NIGHT RIDER MODEL IN 82.

Nice ride the car is perfect, people anyone can build there car ANY WAY THEY LIKE, I see trucks riding with monster truck tires as if there about to go off road muddling, and to me they messed up a good truck, but I don't complain or comment because that's what they like on there truck, then that's what they like, who am I or anybody else to critic someone vehicle

Interesting. I like it. I am seriously considering grabbing a 79-81, because of the t-top options, but putting a 73 nose on it. The color would be a dark navy blue. In regards to this car, I would normally say why 24" wheels, BUT they don't look like 24" wheels, the car sits right, and it doesn't have that donk look. And the fact that the style of the rim is correct, I'm all for it, def a cool car. Actually, if your gonna do a resto-mod, these are the type of cars you do it to, they aren't special editions, they were everyday common cars pretty much like seeing chargers today.

What's it powered by? It was clearly not stock from the burn out. These Tran Ams were SLOWWWW after 75' when they restricted them.

Sounds like the exhaust or Headers or something is vibrating off the Frame of the car.
When I got Hooker long tube headers on my 2000 WS6 Trans Am it had that same rattling sound in the interior / cabin of the car.
Had to take it back to the shop to get corrected.😑

I own 95 formula with T- tops also came with performance mode. 89k actual miles on her V8 and she performs like new. Have kept finish so detailed looks better than when bought. My 9 yrs. grandson inherits her.

gta seats cool.. deep rims nice.. I still think the turbo power buldge hoid looks better than the "shaker" but she looks nice. I'd love to have a 1980 ta well patina with a sneaky little LS7 in there just a baby turbo to give it a little extra boost have aluminum wheels that look like something GM put hubcaps on. and watch everyone "SLEEP" on the tree as that sweet ls7 low boost.. maybe 15lbs. scream that faded chicken on the hooh and make me pocket fat.. sweet car..
